WOW. And things turn in our favor in a hurry - until NJ ends up with a top-3 pick, so we get their pick next year instead. And then they become contenders and we get the #25 in next year's draft. And the league continues to laugh at us. We're just delaying the inevitable bad luck.

Only kidding - I think.

Lets just hope they aren't good enough to make the playoffs, but just good enough to make the chances almost impossible.

If so it just rolls over to the next year ... that could work out OK too given the fact that we don't have a pick next year.

Let's hope it's this year though if the Nets are trying to surround Deron with a good team. C'mon No. 4 pick!

Nicolas now moves back to the 3, and Wes probably moves back into the lineup.

What would be insane is if D Will just gives up because they didn't get Howard and they go like 4th worse in the NBA. Then we tank and be like 6th worse and our pick wins the lotto and the Jersey pick stays at #4. Having the top 4 picks in a great draft would be insane!

If that happens, we better find a fucking GM and scouting staff worth a shit to find the talent!

The best part of this deal is that we have secured our own spot in the draft lottery.

WOW! Just wow! We likely will have 2 lottery picks in a very talented draft. Hate to look ahead to the draft, but with our need to rebuild, and the likelihood we'll have two lottery picks, it's hard not to!

Cap space for what... we're not attracting any big-time FAs here. I'll wait and see how much protection this 1st round pick has.

Don't be so sure. I mean, I kinda share your POV, but am trying to be more optomistic.

Impressive that we turned Przybilla/Cunningham/Protected 2013 first for a 2012 lotto pick and cap space.

We turned that Przybilla/Cunningham/Protected 2013 pick into Przybilla, a 2012 lotto pick, and cap space.

We traded Cunningham and a 2013 pick for a 2012 lotto pick.

Genius.

So who are we going to release since we have all 15 player slots filled? We are taking 2 players for 1.

More to come, perhaps? Sounds like LAL is pushing for Crawford for nothing, basically. And Jamal says he prefers to be moved.

I doubt we keep either player we're getting. Probably waive both of them before they pack their bags.

Nevermind. Sessions is going to LAL, so I assume that ends the talk of JC to LAL.

Let's go Toronto, Sacramento, New Orleans, Washington and Charlotte. Keep losing! Hopefully Gerald helps them stay at around the sixth to ninth worst record.

Good deal for POR, provided that NJ doesn't get a top 3 pick this year....but silver lining could be that POR now gets a 2013 pick (they traded away thier own to CHA) IF that pick doesn end up top 3...

Would love to know what pick LAL gave up for Sessons. How can we not make those kinds of moves? A PG for the future for what's sure to be a late-first round pick or 2nd rounder?
