You could be right. Griffey is pretty clearly the biggest figure in Mariners history, whereas there can definitely be arguments over who would be the preeminent Seahawk or Sonic. Some might argue that Steve Largent is still the biggest name in Seahawks history, despite what Russ has done the past decade. Nobody's legitimately arguing Ichiro or A-Rod over Griffey.To me Griffey is the answer to the question. The guy was almost bigger than the sport and arguably was the best in baseball (especially without being helped out chemically) over a 5 year stretch!
