Russian fighter jet intercepts U.S. bomber flying near country’s coast

A U.S. bomber flying near the Russian coast was escorted by a fighter jet Tuesday morning out of fear it might fly into the country’s airspace.

An Su-27 jet was sent to intercept an B-52 bomber flying near the Russian coast on the Baltic Sea, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
