Oh he went for the money Al...LOL. We all know that. Maybe he could have gotten more money from Buffalo, who knows maybe they would have given him a stupid contract with a cap hit of more than 6 mill per, but he left here for the money Al. Everyone knows that, and good for him. I cannot say that enough. I am happy for him. I won't get angry at anyone for going because of money. Welcome to the world...welcome to sports.

I know I am talking about your guy though, so you have strong feelings on the subject Al...LOL.
 
Actually my guy was and is Dubi, Cally did have a choice and stayed with Tampa giving up money to play for a better shot at wining then in the frozen hole known as Buffalo where they spell it BuffaLLLLo
 
My bad Al, I wasn't aware you worked for the Sabres and knew they were offering him a contract with a cap hit of more than 6 mill per (which would have been a terrible move for them). I am also very sure you know there is no state income tax in Florida, so the value of a contract down there is more than in Buffalo, NY.

BUT I will bow out now because I can see where this is going wth you. Cally didn't leave here for the money, okay Al all good bro. You and maybe 3 other people can believe that. And again it is not a bad thing he did, more power to him. 98% of people would do the same thing. Nothing wrong with that.

as far as income tax goes...trust me when I say there are ways to get around being a NY resident especially when the hockey season is short compared to other sports teams so the number of days domicile in the state is a lot less

Chuck, some of the stuff you write i'm hoping is because you're running a shtick and not because you're really like this. So now you're all over Al for "knowing" that Buffalo would have offered him more money but it was just a few days ago when you knew what Trotz REALLY meant to say when he was quoted comparing OV and Messier's style of game. We should have ignore his exact quote because you KNEW what he was really saying. Come on, man.
 
Here is what I will say on that 31, because quite frankly I kick myself every single time I get into these pointless useless pissing contest discussions, pretty much everyone said he was comparing OV to Mess in terms of play and attitude and all of the above. I actually quoted and put two comments from writers saying exactly that. So if you and Al want to feel that isn't exactly what Trotz was saying, awesome I 100% respect you feeling that way, but you were in the minority there. Which certainly doesn't make you wrong, but understand that and don't act like I was making something up out of LF.

Now I will move on because again I really am tired of getting into these nonsense discussions that have nothing to do with hockey, double so when we have a huge game 7 to focus on tomorrow night. And for that I blame myself by the way, so don't take that as me saying it is one someone else...100% on me.

BTW, for the record we do need to find a great all time hard nosed plays with an edge hockey player that elevates his teammates to compare Ovechkin to that actually gets out of the 2nd round of the playoffs because the Messier comparisons are not working for me.

Maybe if he wins a cup someday.......or 6

Now a hat trick tomorrow after a guaranteed win in an elimination game would work too.....

But clearly Ovechkin is already deflecting his guarantee talk

This would make it a little easier to get past Tampa if we can get by the caps. I think Cally means as much to Tampa as Zucc does to the Rangers.
