FYI... I love all of you, even the liberals. I just like to talk candidly so don't assume my banter on you or anyone else is personal. I even stepped away from talking religion because it was getting way out of hand. Honestly, we should embrace all this disagreement. This is what makes freedom so wonderful!

I agree with this 100 percent. It's just that people on either side don't usually behave that way here. It is all Trump is a Nazi, or Trump is a Golden God who can do no wrong. There is some middle ground here.

I think there are some that are in the middle. I would say @SlyPokerDog @Denny Crane and a few others are. It's just @Rastapopoulos myself and @blue32 dominate a lot of what's posted in OT and we are pretty radical in our ideology. Our opinions are not the reflection of the forum as a whole! :D

I get that. I may talk like I'm in the middle, but I am very strongly liberal, if not socialist for that matter. I just don't see the point of us all having to rub things in opponents faces at every opportunity. Civility can still reign.
 
they are tired of being called racists, so they are calling everybody snowflakes. its weird, just let them get it out of their systems.

The really funny (and absolutely truthful) part is that this bullshit is so freaking cyclical. What goes around ALWAYS comes around. America got tired of the Reagan/Bush Sr. bullshit and elected Clinton. Then America got tired of Clinton bullshit and brought in Bush Jr. He wore out his welcome and opened the door for Obama. So now we have Trump. The worm will eventually turn again. The Democratic Party is no nearer to "death" than the Republican Party was prior to this election (more's the pity in both instances). Trump isn't the end of the world (even if it feels like it). He'll wear out his welcome like they all did and then we'll usher in the next Great Hope. If Trump can undo Obama's "damage", the next clown can undo Trump's "damage". Right now I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that he leaves his tiny little hands off Medicare and Social Security...,,,

Perfect timing for me. 8 years of this, the Dems will win and I'll be 50 and get to retire early. Yay!!!
 
Neither party gets it even now, or they simply refuse to acknowledge it.

True fans of Trump voted for him because he is like most Real Americans in the only thing that is important to them.

This: He has no love for, and no loyalty to, either party.

He knows they are both corrupt to the core, up and down the line, every single one of them WITH NO EXCEPTION corrupt. As in criminals, traitors, secessionists, lobbyists, racists, sexists, all corrupt and all working for their own financial gain or personal control over Real Americans.

He does not share their fascist views, their socialist views, their anarchist views or their uneducated views.

So far, he's doing exactly what he promised and the establishment is in total panic and disarray. Pretty good for 3 days of work.
