(Sabonis). Stupid autocorrect.

We need to do anything but get rid of certain players that form our team identity to get the dude here.

We can spend Williams, Ayton, Grant and if necessary, Simons. Make it happen, Cronin!!!!! I foresee a championship with a rotation of:

Avdija, Camara, Sharpe, Henderson, Sabonis, Clingan, Thybulle, Walker, Murray, Banton.....who am I forgetting? It's been a long time since I looked at the roster, haha.

Imagine the hype for Sabonis in Portland where his Dad was so loved and played like a bull genius?

I think Sabonis would want to come here; the Kings are dying. The Blazers are rising and fit his play style. We have grit and tenacity and intensity.

We could get someone else if we offload the four I mentioned to help build the squad. We could draft a PF and trade for another player to increase our depth.

I found it misleading as if Sabonis had been traded already. It could be changed to “Sabonia to Blazers?”
I like it because it has AI in it (Sabon AI) so we all know it's not real. It's chatgpt hallucinating nonsense

Also, it is IA and not AI, so I am hallucinating too.

I like the idea of trading our junk overpaid players for Sabonis!

If necessary throw in Ant on an expiring deal. Just imagine how good our team would be.

I mean of course teams will want to send us a three time all-star for our useless parts.

I don’t think we need Sabonis or Sabonia. I think we need shooters.

I’d rather have Smith and Reed. Not sure Hou would come off Reed but going into his last season before RFA I think Smith is very obtainable.

Some of you come up with trades like real life is 2k and guess what -- IT"S NOT

Sabonis does not fit this team .. period -- I got a question if his last name was not the same as a beloved Blazer from what 23 years ago would you still want him ??

I am pretty sure the answer is no so why are some of you trying to make this happen when like I said he does not fit this team and what it needs. -- Stop it and move on from it

We have some really good defenders on this team. What we don't have is scoring and rebounding. Sabonis gives both in spades. A fantastic fit for this team.

How about we trade for all three? We can give them Thybulle and a 2nd round pick.

Actually Sabonia would be a nice fit here. We have the defensive wings to cover him. We have Clingan to back him up with a totally different skill set at the center spot. He doesn't really make sense with Ant here as it's two bad defenders that can't be played together. But if Ant was traded I could see it making a lot of sense.

Sabonia is not going to lead a team to a title but he could be a very good starter here.

We'd have to give Sacramento more than the scraps some are suggesting here and the issue is I'm not sure it's worth that cost. So ultimately it might be a bad idea to try and trade for him.

I’m all for a Sabonis/Clingan duo

The high-post play would turbocharge DC’s development
Oh you think they would play at the same time?

I'm assuming Clingan would be exclusively Sabonis backup.

I don't see how either of them could defend a PF. Maybe in the 90s - not today.

Again, this is a forum. Sabonis to the Blazers is being pondered by national media. We absolutely can talk about it and analyze it.

1. On low volume from 3 for the past 3 seasons, Sabonis has shot 37.3, 37.9, and 41.7 — so he can shoot the 3; scaling up is an unknown, but he’s got a good stroke. His offensive rebounding and rebounding overall are up there. His assists as a big are up there. He’s a playmaker.

2. The weakness is being able to defend PFs for 14 minutes per game playing alongside Clingan (getting up to 28 minutes) and 20 at center. I understand the criticism of trade proposals based on this, but I guess I like the positives far more given that the Blazers have decided not to suck at D at other positions. Billups ain’t having it — there was only so much he could do with Simons AND Sharpe — and at least the one who MIGHT get better at D learned that he needs to significantly improve.

3. It’s a moot point in that Sacramento management cannot be that bad.

I gave my opinion you can agree or disagree and maybe i should not have been so rigid about it but that is how i feel.

I stick by the first part of my post but the part of just dropping should have been worded more like -- not a good idea and maybe this idea should just go away etc

Pass on Sabonis Jr and his T-Rex arms.

He isn't his father, and he's not a good defender in the paint, and he can't switch to 4s.

Plus he's owed like almost 180 million over the next 4 years.

So is this a trade? Or another desire for a trade?
Title is very misleading. I thought we had made a move!

Sabonia was Melania's best friend in Slovenia, until Sabonia moved to Estonia and left Melania all alonia.
