Gorton needs to put his name on this team.
I'm hoping he will.

Attaboy Dylan stick it up AV's ass and force the moron to put you in the lineup. That being said nice game and we'll see you again in easter

Stubborness must be a NHL prerequisite for head coaches!
New York Rangers have had their share................just pitiful!

Cage, AV is too stubborn to admit he was and is wrong about dylan and will continue to crap all over him as he's done all season. Dylan in his monthly appearance had another strong game and yet still logged the least amount of IT of the defenseman. Gorton needs to step in but the question is will he.

On the flip side, AV's stubbornness also caused him to continue giving your other best friend Kreider top 6 minutes even though he was putrid for a large stretch and deserved a benching just like Hayes, so let's call it a wash.

Good to get a win and head into the break on a positive note. Outside of falling asleep for 1:30 or so, the Rangers pretty much dominated a team they should dominate.

They now head into the AS break in 2nd place in the Met by 3 points, which I am well aware means nothing...but still is not a terrible spot to be in. The Isles, who right now are closest, have played 5 more home games than road games, and that will balance out overall and they have two trips to MSG left still. Plus they have 3 games left against the Caps and we only have 1 game left against the Caps.

I'll also add, Nash being out does not hurt this team...were you saying the same thing after they got shutout the prior game against the 29th ranked D cage? Yeah...they looked fine without Nash against the Sabres, a bad team, at home. Not sure they would be fine without him against better teams, as we saw at Ottawa.

Lastly on McIlrath, it was the right move playing him over Boyle last night as I mentioned. I am hopeful AV will let the kid play when the AS break ends next week, he deserves it. Contrary to popular opinion in here, I believe AV is a smart guy and a good coach. I think we'll see enough of Dylan over the last 32 games that we won't have to picket the Garden...:).

At any rate...happy we are in a decent spot with 32 games left. We have A LOT of work left to do in order to lock up a playoff spot, and most importantly go from a whatever team to a legit SC team. We all know a trade or trades need to be made in order for us to become legit contenders. It is on Gorton to make it happen. 34 days from today is the trade DL...get it done Gorton...lot of pressure on him for sure.

Prod,
I think the difference is there is not an adequate replacement for Kreids while with dylan he could replace any of the 3 on the right side including klein who has been abysmal lately and last night just a total dumpster fire and be an improvement for the team.

Fair points. Especially on Klein, I agree there. He has not been good lately at all but he seems to get a pass. The VAN game might have been his worst as a Ranger.

But AV's stubbornness cuts both ways. From day 1 I've been posting that he gives different players different leashes. Unfortunately Dylan has a short one. At the end of the day though I think he's a good coach and as much as I want to see Dylan playing I dont think the D has been so bad as to warrant benching people. Dylas will get his shot.

Klein certainly has had his ups and downs the past couple of weeks, but overall he has been very good for this team. I am sure some of it is just luck or coincidence, but take a look at our record with and without Klein this season and you will see a huge difference. He is also a +14, which leads the team and is darn good. Now that is not the best indicator of good or bad, but it doesn't mean nothing. And I will also add it has gone down recently, so yes he has struggled his past handful of games, I agree 100% guys.

To me it is Boyle or McIlrath, and I will take McIlrath for sure. Now Klein and G should get some time off here and there for sure IMO, so it isn't always scratch Boyle, but I would play McIlrath over Boyle if I were the coach. Boyle had a good streak on the PP, but that ended weeks ago, and he has been really bad the past couple of weeks. So I like McIlrath in for Boyle last night, and hope AV keeps it up after the break.

LOL...Ladies and Gentleman, I present you Tanner freaking Glass. Watch him hustle back and take out Klein on Sabers third goal.

What's sad is that if guys like Kreider, Stepan and Nash would wake the hell up things would get a lot better. If I told you at the start of the season that at the break JT Miller would have more goals than Rick Nash and Oscar Lindberg would have more goals than Stepan and Kreider you would've thought major injuries ravaged this team.

Oh wait...Klein made a terrible play on the 3rd Buffalo goal last night...forget it he is now dead to me...my bad for not realizing he made a bad play and is therefore terrible overall and should be shot...LOL.

And well said Mess.

I havent seen anybody say anything close to that. Did I miss it?

No...commenting on the video of him falling on the 3rd goal, which was posted right after the comments about him being very good for us. Yeah...terrible play...it happens.

Everyone is so on edge here now. No one is calling anyone else out. Let's all just get along...:).

Never ceases to amaze me how many morons in our fan base want to get rid of Fast or don't appreciate him. A right handed shot who is fabulous defensively and is on pace for 30 points. He's an elite role player.

Yes, Fast is good defensively and a pretty good role player who should not play regularly in top 6 unless there are injuries.

To me Fast is a bottom 6 forward. I prefer him on the 4th line, but just bottom line it at he's a bottom 6 forward. To Step's point though, he plays in the top 6 too much for my liking.

So I am with you dump, he has an important role here for sure...just in the bottom 6.

Yes, Fast definitely has a place on this team. Solid, cheap role player.

Fast is a nice little player but i wouldn't hesitate to use him in a deal for the right player.
