That's what Mrs HCP saidA lot more than 2 shots.
You want to replace Dame with a dame? The Blazers should sign her; she's got the hometown crowd and is exciting as hell to watch. We're not trying to win a championship this year, and I always wanted the Blazers to be the first to put a woman on the court in the regular season.

Not saying she'd go from 25-27 to like 10-27, but it's not the same distance. If the NBA three point line was 22 feet all around, their %'s would go up, as iirc, the %'s went up when the NBA (foolishly) shortened the 3 point line back in wheneverthehellthatwas.
Caitlin Clark dude. She was dropping logo shots in the tourney. That’s who I’d like to see. It's cool what she did, and far better than I could do if I practiced every day for 50 weeks straight, but I saw a comment on one of the videos saying they should invite her into the NBA 3 point contest.
Now besides the fact they don't need to "compete against men" to make what they do valid, the WNBA 3 point shot is closer than the NBA three point line (cept from the corners are all the same distance) and even that extra 2o" makes a difference in shot percentages.

Who gives a fuck if the line is closer. It was an historic display of deadly accuracy.
Dipped in badassery.
not that the average NBA player went 25 for 27 in that era either. Maybe we could check Reggie Miller’s percentage shift during that era to see how an elite bomber would perform at both distances.
I think it's more that it was under the lights, and had something on the line that makes it impressive. I remember watching rookie year Sergio Rodriguez go 22-for-25 in his pregame shootaround drill going around the court. I asked an assistant at the time why he didn't shoot better during the games (he was under 30% 3pt at the time) and was told "there's no adrenaline right now".not that the average NBA player went 25 for 27 in that era either. It matters the context of what I was referencing.
That’s not how things work anymore. For some reason society feels the need to constantly compare accomplishments instead of letting them stand on their own. But it’s more click bait to compare her awesome performance to the NBA.There are plenty of examples of players making 45 shots in a row from 3.
My point was her accomplishment didn't need to be compared to the men's to be impressive
your context was slightly misleading
2 of the ball racks she shot were from the same distance as the NBA 3 point line. So 10 of 28 shots from the NBA distance
the NBA 3 point line is a max of 1.5 feet further But ratchets down to 22 feet on the baseline. Her second and next to last rack of balls was probably only 8-10 inches inside the NBA three instead of 1.5 feet.
she was 9-10 on NBA distance; I think 17-18 on the rest. And of course, the WNBA distance is 1.5 feet longer than the NCAA

Again, my point was that the person comparing her to the NBA 3 point contest (implying she should be in it, etc) discounts what she did because its impressive without having to compare it to the men's.
Some folks might confuse "Ice cold", with "Ice in their veins". I kinda thought "Ice cold" referred to a marriage.....about 3 years in.“Ionescu was ICE COLD with her historic 37-point performance in the #WNBAAllstar 3-PT contest.”
What?? Did the meaning of “ice cold” when shooting a basketball change when I wasn’t looking?

thats how it startsIf the NBA were smart they should extend her an invitation to the NBA 3PT contest. Just make a rule that contestants can select men’s or women’s balls
would get tons of hype and be fun to watch. I’d tune in to see her against Curry, Dame et al.
