Sorry, I tried to make a link and it's not working! Oh well, how much do we have to spend?

Just about 7.7 to spend without renouncing the two Euro scrubs. A little over 9 if we do.

The tax level for the 2009-10 season has been set at $69.92 million.

Sweet. According to Storyteller's site, the following teams are above the tax threshold: Boston, Cleveland, Dallas, Denver, LA Lakers, Miami, Milwaukee, New Orleans, New York, Orlando, Phoenix, San Antonio, Utah, and Washington.

Also, Chicago is at $68.8 million and Charlotte is at $68.7 million.

I see some mediocre/crap teams on that list with cheap owners who will make for PERFECT trading partners.

Unless Dre Miller is the target for a FA, we only have enough for a lopsided trade

Please tell me this means Hedo is getting less than he thought...

They can offer raises each year so that he gets 56 million anyways, even if the first year he gets a bit less.

Okay the more important number is the tax threshold which is now $69.92 Million. So there are a few teams that are simply going to pay a little extra, New Orleans, Lakers, Wizards, Boston, Utah, Spurs, Mavricks, and the knicks. The Hornets are only around 7 mil over the threshold, so I don't think they will look to dump Chris Paul, sorry homers.

No reason to do it since we are one of the only teams with space. I hope we are in the drivers seat.

Can you guys explain how you got $7.7? I'm getting a bit confused here.

How close will Milwaukee be if they re-sign Sessions?

They are currently sitting at about 62.5 Million. Assuming Sessions's contracts starts at the MLE (Which it probably will), they are looking at about 68.2 Million for this season.

$62.5 million, not counting Jennings' contract.

7.717 million to be exact I think?

We have right at about 50 million in salaries. The cap is 57.7 million. Math took it from there.

David Lee lovers. 5 years 44.75 is the number we can give him I think.

If we renounce the Euro scrubs it's 5 year 54.3 for a S&T

After the season starts, and up until the deadline we will have 10.378 I think for a lopsided trade.

If nothing get's done we lose it for all intents and purposes

The nice thing is that NY will have to go deeper into the lux tax to sign Lee. I say we jack that contract up :ghoti:

Theyll be at $63m if they cut Bowen and before they sign Sessions. They'll be right at the tax line if they sign him
and make no other changes. I don't think we can get him.

Are you counting Jennings' 2.1 million?

Some bigtime players will be available at the trade deadline next year. :)
