RHP - Nathan Eovaldi (1-2, 5.46 ERA)

VS.

LHP David Price (4-0, 6.14 ERA)

David Price seems to be this years Nathan Eovaldi, a good record due to great run support.

Lineups to follow........

Jeter got some pretty historical career hits lighting up Price like a pinball machine, hope the Yankees light him up today as well. Never liked that snot nosed fuck anyway. A Nate you hang one in Big Sloppis ear. Price and Sloppi, former opponents now bunk buddies, lets get two for one today.

Today's starting lineup.......

LF - Gardner (250)
CF - Hicks (114) (Apparently getting your average over 100 warrants being put in the 2 hole)
2b - Castro (294)
1B - Teixeira (215)
DH - Beltran (242)
RF - Ackley (125)
3B - Headley (151)
SS - Gregorius (220)
C - Romine (263)

I haven't seen lineup averages like this since the early days of the New York Mets.

Castro at 3 is a good move, don't know if Hicks has speed but if he does get on might be OK. Headley should be ashamed to take a spot on the diamond. . Don't know what attendance was last nigh but from the televiews I saw the fans were more animated and supportive than I've seen in a while. Go out and kick some Boston Butt.

And DAMN! Nathan, try & back Ortiz off the plate will you.

I have no problem whatsoever with Girardi (or any other mgr) occasionally shaking up the lineup.
Hicks? The Yanks did acquire him with the intent of giving him playing time and possibly taking over an outfield spot for longer periods if necessary due to injury whatever.
Still developing as a player, 26 yrs old and hasn't yet had 400 PA in a season - he did hit .307/ .870 OPS last year vs LHP - Yanks SHOULD want to find out what he can do and if he can progress as a hitter.

Remember, many (most) here think the Yanks gave up too much for him....but, on the other side of the coin, the Twins weren't willing to give him away for "nothing".

Would love to see Eovaldi drill Ortiz ...somewhere in the lower extremities where there is little fat and padding. Lol.
But it won't happen, Eovaldi is a softie and is still struggling with other basic aspects of pitching.

GO YANKS!

I would've went inside on him early. You hit him and he will go crazy with a good chance of getting thrown out.

That's the line up? What does the bench look like...this could be a ST split squad.

Didi picks up the stiffs with a big three run double.

3 runs on one hit. That's like a week's worth of offense.

Headley gets a hit early but than sucks when it counts. I don't know what the record is for how many games one goes without an RBI but I believe Headley has now gone 23 straight games without driving in a run. NOTHING! since the 3rd game of the season. And still looking for his first extra base hit.

Hey Price, right up your Hershey Highway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Price looking at 4-1 while his era is near 7.00.

...overall, the Yanx have fared well vs Price over the years. (4.17+ ERA in 198 innings)

Price has taken getting knocked around in the post season into this season. His win loss numbers are very deceiving.

For the first time in a while I actually enjoyed today's game.

ESPN smooching Big Sloppis ass over that call at last nights game. Said he was channeling his inner George Brett. What a crock of crap, I enjoyed seeing Baby Huey throw a tantrum because he didn't get his way. I always remember Price saying he wouldn't pitch for the Yankees because he didn't care for their facial hair policies. The Yankees shaved his face good for him the last two times out.

He was very clearly going through a ROID-RAGE in the last two melt downs. Smashing the phone with the bat & last night.

I'd love to see them catch that guy, give him 80 games at the end of the season. As I posted before, no matter how good the team you need a smidgen of luck and an occasional call. Yankees got that last night and from what I've seen this season they've been short on that. Have noticed over the last couple of games that some of the youngsters who have not done well are starting to be OK. I'm going to root for A-hole and Smellsbury to stay out and let those kids play ball.

Shrek is the epitome of how not to be a role model for kids. His temper tantrum last night was an embarrassment.... watching his meltdown, I was hoping, expecting a tsunami wave of beer to drench his lame ass, cheers from the Yankee Faithful...

Could of swore there was a beer or two tossed Shrek's way, in the upper Lh corner of the Screen, looked like suds...Yank Fans s/b given beer tossing lessons, for any foe, including some of our own, ie Headley, A-Hole, (enter name here) X_______________

I'm really hoping that the New York fan are not naive enough to give him what he wants on his final Yankee stadium appearance. (Cheers & a standing O). I'd rather see them send a message & do a Baary Bonds on him by holding photos of syringers.
