...^^^ just listened to S&G most of yesterday, Irony at its best, or Synchronicity...

The Yanks strand more men on base, than Rick has stood up women on 1st dates, stranding them at Gay Bars, or both combined, Irish Gay Bars .... Caitlynn's favorite in particular, "The Backdoor Inn"....

"And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made
And the sign flashed out its warning
In the words that it was forming
And the sign said “The words of the prophets
Are written on subway walls
And tenement halls
And whispered in the sounds of silence”

Hey, I like to play and sing that song myself,

Sometimes I take a great notion, to jump into the river and drown. I use G, C, and D to get it done. Pete Segar and the Weavers did a nice job.

a great Folk, Bluesy Classic eh? To play and sing?

First musician I saw play "Irene", was Ry Cooder, around his Tex-Mex Hawaiin "Chicken Skin Music" LP release days...

Roy Orbison steps up to the Mic, sings "It's Over

Mother Fuck you Pinhead!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I first heard the song as a Kid when the Weavers did it in the Fifties an have sung it since. Saw old video of Pete Segar playing it on guitar so I wrote down the word to find the chords. I have a 10 Watt Ibanez Amplifier and when plugging up the Ovation you get the right amount of amplification to do those "hootenanny" tunes if you have others singing with you. On Top of Old Smokey is another Weavers Tune I like to hit!!!

...Ry Cooder, very under-rated and somewhat of a pioneer...his album "Bop Till You Drop" is generally recognized as the first digitally recorded album ever. (32 track recorder. 1978)

Been hanging here the last few nights. Grab a brat, a sweetener and a pretzel and watch the locals go ape shit over cover bands, lol!

http://www.schlossgrabenfest.de/2016/

Holy Schmidt: "20,000 square meters comprehensive festival grounds offer four live stages room for exactly 117 bands of nearly all musical styles".

looks like a blast, I've often heard Europe has its own brand, love of, even League of Rock n Roll, and other genres, more so today than in previous decades. Alot do to the Wall falling, as well as Western Bands infiltrating the Iron Curtain in past decades, ... Reference (informative:)
