The Portland Trail Blazers are under-manned in their efforts to beat the Denver Nuggets and reach the Western Conference Finals. With center Jusuf Nurkic out with a fractured fibia and tibula, the Blazers no longer have the rim protection they had in the regular season. To compensate, they’ve created corner three-point shield by using their ... voices.

Allow us to explain. Led by assistant coach Nate Tibbets, Meyers Leonard, and Enes Kanter, the Blazers have used the age-old tactic of screaming and flailing from the bench in order to distract Nuggets corner shooters from sinking otherwise open shots.

Wow...

That's unsportsmanlike.

BUT.... Everyone does it and it's NEVER penalized so that's going to cause it to happen more and more.

Just like flopping.

I always say:

Faking being fouled by rule is unsportsmanlike and is supposed to be penalized with a technical foul.

The first referee that T's that play is gonna be my HERO.

Really? Stop.

Meyers has done great in the time he's given this season.

He's played well all season.
I agree! Scoring 17 points with 4 of 5 swish3s and 6 of 7 FGA shooting in the Jan win over the Jazz is an accomplishment. Meyers scoring swish3s, especially from the corners, has been superb, including in the Playoffs. Let's rely on Meyers for scoring 9+ from swish3s, excellent screens, assist passes, rebounds, countering bigs, and hustle defense in these Playoff games!

I'm looking for a The Onion reference... I can't believe someone actually took the time to put this together...

I think it's foul, Bush league bullshit that we shouldn't be a part of.

Flame Balls and Thunder Dunks baby!!!

This is great. Whatever it takes. As long as there's no rule, keep doing it.

The real story is that Denver's perimeter guys are showing their youth in the playoffs by missing wide open looks at threes. I don't expect them to suddenly get better at making them under the weight of a Portland crowd.

SBnation taking shit from Reddit again. There as a reddit thread where a Denver fan was pissed and made the thread and it got TANKED quickly with everyone pretty much saying "everyone does it including you guys so get off your high horse".
