Kayla Michelle Finley, 27, has been charged with failure to return a rented video cassette, according to the Pickens County Sheriff's Office. A warrant was issued in 2005. Presumably Finley was pulled over or for some other reason had her record checked to see that the warrant was outstanding. The tape she rented and failed to return was Monster in Law. It doesn't say it in the article but supposedly the shop that she rented the VHS from is long since out of business.

WTF...

Oh the embarrassment she must feel for it being nationally televised that she rented Monster in Law.

People like her are the reason the vhs industry went under.

NC isn't known for highly educated law enforcement personnel, but it was 9 years ago when she was 17 or 18. There's no evidence she even knew it hadn't been returned.

If Neil Goldschmidt can rape a teenager and walk away because some time has elapsed, I'm thinking maybe this slightly less serious offense could also be pushed aside.

Zimmerman shoots a unarmed teenager and walks while this lady spends a night in jail. Justice!

First not returning a VHS tape, next thing meth addict and then committing crimes to get meth money.

Not returning VHS tapes is the gateway to a life of crime.

That's true, you'll see her on America's Most Wanted next to the Taliban hierarchy in a few years.
