I get a hoot out of New Yorkers. While the rest of us get use to New Yorkers over the years., at least some what, I don't think they ever spend enough time out of NY to ever become accustom to other people in this country.
Back in the 60s was the first time I was paired up with a Brooklyn guy, Sal was his name. Reminded me a lot of Scaramooch. Anyway it was Poughkeepsie New York, sharing a room with Sal while we both attended a class. It lasted one day. The guy had a motor mouth and I was not so good on the Brooklyn dialect. He went to the school office and requested they change his roommate.
Apparently he said he didn't trust me, I just looked at him and made him uncomfortable. They paired him up with another N Yorker and me with the guy from the mid west.
Thus we began the intro to the 360 Operating System.
