That's what your post sounds like to me. As a owner of a pit bull (formerly had 2 pugs, 1 rottweiler, 1 chow) I can tell you I have never had a companion as affectionate, smart, and friendly as this dog. Plus, having a very active lifestyle requires to have a dog as active as myself (gets along great with my 3 cats). Animals, just like people, can't be stereotyped, they are a product of how they are raised.

But, they can be statistically categorized. And statistically they are MUCH more dangerous breeds.

If almost any other dog has a bad moment, someone may get bitten, but will not be maimed for life or killed, and the actuarial risk is accordingly reasonable. If a pit bull terrier or a Rottweiler has a bad moment, often someone is maimed or killed--and that has now created off-the-chart actuarial risk, for which the dogs as well as their victims are paying the price."

The presa canario may look scary but I think the wolf hybrids are really (potentially) the most dangerous dogs you can own. The pressure in their jaws are on par with freakin' bears.

We were on a list to get one until MrsFromWA found out she was pregnant and dropped the veto. It's on hold for a couple of years now. But they're great water rescue dogs also.

This dog had a genetic disorder that told her body to develop twice the muscle. She had a short life because of this.

I absolutely love Siberian Huskys. Although the multi colored Eyed ones freak me out lol.

I was looking around some Humane Societies this past weekend for a dog and the one on highway 34 in Albany had a husky with multicolored eyes. Hadnt seen that before personally.
