PSU had several local fast food or more quick food things on campus, like Taco Bell, another known burrito joint that wasn’t totally fast food, and a couple of other local joints on campus that weren’t flat-out fast food. So, I’d say that was my favorite.

Subway. Pizza. Several places.

I had some dude get really angry with me for taking the last weiner wrap one time. I don't care how many pickles they put on those hamburgers, they were nasty.

Thing about those hamburgers was they overcooked the shit out of them. The cow is already dead dammit.

The crappy lunch lady pizza was my favorite. I loved it and all it's glorious averageness.

Here's some childhood trauma for you all associated with school lunch time. In middle school we had a little snack shack and I would always buy the pepperoni sticks after lunch while we were still on break. I had braces also so it would stick in my teeth some. Well one day I was talking to my crush after I had my daily pepperoni stick. Afterwards she told everyone I had stinky breath and made fun of me because I also had food stuck in my braces. I was devastated and humiliated. I didn't eat pepperoni sticks for years after that and became obsessive about dental hygiene. I am very thankful I didn't grow up in the social media age.

The pizza was good.

That's messed up. Sorry man. There was no reason she needed to do that. If it tells you anything, it tells you what kind of person she was. Not worthy of your time.

My college has a fucking jamba juice and starbucks now. I think a Qdoba too....which is the only one left around this area.

We had some ghetto shit when I was there. The lunch plan where u get like 20 meals per week. Those buffets were good though, i gained a lot of weight my freshman year lol.

Thanks, that was a lifetime ago, It's all good now. She was a kid also. Kids do stupid and sometimes mean stuff, myself included. She is not a bad person.

What I found interesting early on in grade school was that the lunch room tables were all WWII naval surplus. Long, heavy rectangular tables with linoleum tops that doubled as surgical tables during battle conditions. They could be easily folded down and stowed when battle was imminent. And they had hinged leg extensions that dropped down so the table could be raised to surgical heights quickly. They also had “scuppers” so that food spilled during rough seas, or blood spilled during surgery would drain right off. Fascinating for young kids. When the school finally replaced them, two ended up in our basement for my mom’s art projects. We sold the last one a few years back when my dad passed, and the provenance and history got us a surprisingly good price for it……

True. Good way to look at it.

I used to skip school in high school a bit. Go to the mall with my friend or to his house and play video games all day.

We'd stop at my house after my folks left for work and delete the schools call off the message machine.

i think we had a Jamba, but that’s so long ago now….

Sorry I don't pay close attention to where everyone went to school ... care to share the excel spreadsheet you have on everyone's history?

sorry for your snark and can’t understand green font unless it’s actually in green. Wasn’t referring to his specific school.

It’s pretty fucking obvious to anyone on this board that El-P is the most boujee person here….

I don't think there's a university without a Starbucks now.

I grew up with farm home cooking and my guilty pleasure when I was in the Naval Training Center in school in San Diego was to go to a greasy spoon and get a char grilled chili dog with a bag of BBQ Fritos and a fountain coke......that was like foreign food to me at the time but man did I love that shit.

That sounds damn good right now!

I think we weren't allowed to leave campus for lunch other than the last semester of Senior year.
We could leave campus if walking, but were not allowed to drive our vehicles off campus. Lots of kids parked off campus so they could take off. Burgerville and Mexicali Express were the only fast food in town, besides DQ I guess, but they weren't fast.

BlazingGiants doesn't like sarcasm met with more sarcasm ... SlyPokerDog put that update in the Excel sheet!

The hamburger Gravy or fish sticks is all I remember about elementary lunches. I never ate school lunches in middle or high school. We did have a burgerville across the street from the high school, but it was crazy busy during lunches.

did that happen to be Cleveland or Parkrose?

Teriyaki dippers. They were like chicken nuggets without the breading and slathered in teriyaki sauce and they were delicious.

Our Burgerville was around the corner (or across the fence for you "new school" peeps). Wendy's was across the street. C'mon man...
