Seriously, if only for karma purposes, can we send him packing?

Cursed with Paul Allen as owner.... He must go too

Look at the bright side.

Oh wait, there is none...

I feel bad for him. He is obviously very sad if you are seeing the PC. He obviously cares for Greg.

Well his feeling sad makes me feel so much better about the excellent condition of our players.

If the ducks don't win a national title now I will kill myself

It's not all about how you feel. How would you feel if you were him? He knows thousands of people are blaming him for this and he must feel like shit.

I'm beginning to think that Paul Allen sold his soul to somebody for the chance of meeting up with Bill Gates.

Think about it. Paul is unmarried, no kids, he has spent hundreds of millions on sports' teams, gone through numerous bankrupticies, and he has not a single championship to show for it or a business that he has backed that has made a life-changing difference.

Yes, I am bitter tonight.

Honestly, I don't think it's the training and medical staff ... it's either just really, really bad luck or a curse, but pointing fingers at trainers and doctors for the fragility of a player's body is just misplaced. Blame Greg Oden's genes.

Tempting as it is to blame the medical staff, I find it hard to believe that they could actually be doing something that would cause huge numbers of injuries.

I don't want rational thinking, I want a mob scene with torches and whoever is causing this to be run out of town!

Let's see this year's injuries:

Oden- Knee
Williams- Knee
Pendergraph- Knee
Roy- Knee
Pryzbilla- Knee

Not to quibble too much, but Przybilla is technically a last season injury.

Ok, well maybe hiring Shane Stant as assistant trainer was a mistake.

If a coach keeps losing, he gets replaced. Not because he's incompetent, but because the team just needs a change.

If a trainer keeps losing, we keep him forever because--he's competent and liked.

A change can't hurt--make one! I don't care whether it's mindless. Just try someone else.

Will Jay be the first trainer in NBA history to get booed by his home crowd during introductions?

It's no different than a primitive tribe stoning the witch doctor when the crops fail.

Just heard this take on the MSP a few minutes ago, and it makes sense. Assistant coaches get replaced all the time, just like how Nate reconfigured his staff this summer. GMs get the axe, and coaches of the year even get the pink slip the following season.

It's tough seeing Jay and the training staff get piled on, and you could see it was wearing on him in the PC last night. But a change just to get a different philosophy/different voice in there probably wouldn't hurt.
