Apologies accepted and I disagree about the danger.
Makes one wonder, then, as to why it is illegal.

Alcohol destroys the kidneys and liver. Hell you could overdose on caffeine before you can on LSD.
Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
Makes one wonder, then, as to why it is illegal.![]()
Does doesn't it? You are ware that alcohol was illegal at one point right? Driving after a beer is illegal (now that they lowered the BAL. Do you ever drive after a beer?
Some think the government making psychoactive drugs illegal had more to do with control.
I rarely drink, then drive, I never drink prior to diving into the Word of God. I do enjoy the taste of a beer, but it's really not that important to me. Drawing closer to the Lord is my main priority as of recent. I want to be a credible witness to those who don't know Him. I want to hear, "Well done, good and faithful servant. "
I love Jesus! He's my best friend in the whole, wide world.
I think your heart is the true measurement of faith, not following the laws. If you go through life always worrying about being a good witness; usually you can turn others off.
Acts 1:8 - But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
James 1:22 - Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.
Romans 6:1-2 - What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2 By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?
Abuse of anything is not a good thing. The Word says, as Christians, our bodies are not our own...they're temples of the Holy Spirit:
If you think alcohol in moderation is okay, why aren't other drugs in moderation okay?
Psalm 104:12-15
You water the mountains from your heavenly cisterns;
earth is supplied with plenty of water.
You make grass grow for the livestock,
hay for the animals that plow the ground.
Oh yes, God brings grain from the land,
wine to make people happy,
Their faces glowing with health,
a people well-fed and hearty.

I've never seen the Bible reference drugs. However..
So then how could you reference it's a sin? Makes no sense.
Hear my prayer, Lord God Almighty;
listen to me, God of Jacob.
Look on our shield, O God;
look with favor on your anointed one.
Better is one day in your courts
than a thousand elsewhere;
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
than dwell in the tents of the wicked.
For the Lord God is a sun and shield;
the Lord bestows favor and honor;
no good thing does he withhold
from those whose walk is blameless.
Lord Almighty,
blessed is the one who trusts in you.
For starters, it's against the law.
"For we conclude that a person is put right with God only through faith, and not by doing what the laws commands."
Romans 3:28
I've never seen the Bible reference drugs.
You seem to have the meaning of this quote from Romans confused Mags. I believe it means doing what is right because of your faith makes it right. You do not
need a Law (of man) to make it right.
You have stated that the Bible says not to drink too much. If the Bible references alcohol, the Bible references drugs.
Why do you think he has the meaning confused? I think that's exactly what he thinks it means.
One of ABM's many definitions of sin is apparently breaking the laws of man, no matter what the law is. That's what's confusing, and very weird.
prostitution is legal in nevada, ergo, not a sin

It does specifically talk about prostitution being a sin in the bible.
I guess I stand corrected. Thank you for the clarification Mags.
for the man giving? or the man getting?
Lol, yes it's against the law. Weed isn't against the law in Washington. Is it okay to smoke it there then? And there is legalized heroin (opiates) like morphine that doctors prescribe. So it's okay to do opium because our government can tax it?
LSD was once legal and psychiatrist user to be able to prescribe it. Alcohol was once very illegal. Tht is a bad example.

My Mom uses an old saying, "People are going to do what they want to do." In other words, if it's something we really want to do, we'll find ways to justify and/or make excuses for doing so. Guilty as charged here.
That said, I really don't want to make all of this a point of contention between two brothers in Christ. We can, and should, choose to give it up to the Lord and follow Him as He leads. It's Satan that would have (and enjoy) us becoming divisive about it. God wants us to strive for unity in the body of Christ. Amen?![]()
Sounds good! Love ya brother!
Now finish the work, so that your eager willingness to do it may be matched by your completion of it, according to your means. For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have.
Our desire is not that others might be relieved while you are hard pressed, but that there might be equality. At the present time your plenty will supply what they need, so that in turn their plenty will supply what you need. The goal is equality, as it is written (in Exodus 16:18): “The one who gathered much did not have too much, and the one who gathered little did not have too little.”
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress,
My God, in whom I trust!”
