Season eight starts mid-season, I've heard around early February.

They already filmed the last Scrubs episode but Bill Lawrence wanted to bring back some old favorites, Sarah Lancaster (gift shop girl) and Masi Oka (Fraklyn) but NBC did not allow the actors to be used.
