Clearly, it should be Balt/KC from the AFC, but it could be NO/GB/SF/SEA from the NFC. I give no credence to Vikings or Philly to get the SB. But 4 teams from the NFC have real chance.

The big thing the ‘C’awks now have going for them is that the Niners and their adjustments in the second-half are lame. First possession is showing, but look back to Shanahan as the OC in ATL. He puts it on and then slows down.

I agree, and often feel the same but NE faded and will continue to do so. This is the end, IMO.

A 7 and a 15 yard run changed the way these guys are defending it seems like. Niners playing too soft on these crossing routes which is the only thing Seattle's running.

Yep. First professional game on any level was a Niners game. John Brodie to Gene Washington for the TD!

John Brodie...my first sports hero...
Spring of 1970, Brodie is at the Oak Grove Fred Meyer signing autographs, and being a spokesman for some vitamins....nobody showed except my dad and his 8 year old little boy.
John Brodie spent what seemed like an hour with us, joking (nipping the flask?) with my dad and i sat on his lap as if he were Santa...he autogrphed a football(lost it) for me..
That year he was league MVP and my love affair with the 49ers was born....
I guess he's in poor health because of a stroke, but wgen he retired ge was the 4th leading passer in history and was a successful golfer on the senior tour.

fact is, Niners have dominated this game but not take advantage. Similar to other games. Should be up another score or two, but have not done the deed. They deserve to slide into the playoffs and have to battle uphill.
