Some awesome quotes in Kerber's blog:

http://blogs.nypost.com/sports/nets/archiv...ndo_day_--.html

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>And the next step basically was across Beasley's throat. In Miami's 90-81 win over the NetsNew Jersey Nets , Beasley shot 1-of-13, suffered a bruised left shin and was outplayed from start to finish by Williams who insisted he accomplished exactly what he set out to do - and what he wants to do this season.

"What I want to do every night is play defense first and stop the other team's best offensive player," said Kenyon Martin, er, Sean Williams.</div>

Meanwhile in Palm Beach

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>When you get tackled on one end and touch somebody with your pinky finger on the other (and get called for a foul), it kind of gets frustrating," he said.</div>

I like this player, but thats not a good sign.

Wait, was that Sean?

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Nets Maurice Ager sat out the game with his groin injury.</div>

Lame. Oh well. I thought it was just because he sucked so much in the 1st game.

What's the deal with the groin injury, though? Did Yinka miss Dante and Galante, and hit Mo?

It's going to be tough watching Lakers games this year. The next 81?

That was Beasley. His first rough game and hes already crying.

Theres a lot better defenders than Sean, he better toughen up.

Sean made Beasely act like a baby!

Haha. Sweet. I hope this means Sean's elevating his toughness. That'd be pretty sweet.

I remember a number of occasions where Sean had that same determination against bigger name opponents, he didn't always get the groove going but the effort was there. Defensive players are not born overnight but he played KG as well as anybody last season and if he keeps taking his man scoring on him personally we could have a monster on our hands.
