No one blamed Williams for the shots ("He was open. It was a rhythm shot that was within the play," Vince Carter said), but Williams didn't appear to be pleased with himself after the game.

His nameplate -- and the heavy plank of oak that it's glued on -- was leaning against the wall, apparently pulled off the frame of his locker.

"I didn't see how it happened," locker neighbor Trenton Hassell said, "but it takes a strong man to do that."

I dont blame the kid at all. he is not being used in a way that can demonstrate his skills. now these dumbasses are talking about sending him to the d-league. if tyson chandler can play in this league so can sean williams. tyrus thomas is another example.

frank is just stupid. these players need to revolt.

Agreed, when guys like Simmons and Hassel are getting more playing time then you, you have to be pissed. So much energy and talent going to waste for washed up veterans that can only shoot jumpers 2 inches off the ground, and are slow as a fat women walking up the steps. Must be part of the process.

Stuff like this happens when you get your shoelace caught in your nameplate.

I don't believe this was done out of anger towards Frank. He did it out of his own frustration for missing two key open shots.

You honestly think Sean can play SF? He can barely shoot and has no handle.

He needs a better situation. Let's face it, Frank isn't gonna use him and if he does, he won't use him properly. Sean needs to go to a team that needs an energy big man. Denver is looking for bigs btw.

I thought the Nets already had one of the worst locker rooms? Now he doesn't even have a locker!

This talk about needing a better situation is garbage. The fact is he's just not a good basketball player.

It's a shame what's going on with Sean. If he were to get 20 minutes a game, he'd absolutely help this team with energy and D. Look what he did in his first two minutes last night. He had like 3 boards and 4 points. This team is terrible, there's no excuse not to try and develop a guy with upside. And when you do, you have to live with the occasional ill-advised shot. I'd rather see Sean shooting a 15-footer than Najera. They knew they were getting a raw talent when they drafted him, and it's on them to give him a chance to develop it.

That's a good idea. How big is JR Smith's contract? Any way we could swing a trade for him? Send them Vince and Williams for JR and Kleiza? Karl clearly hates JR so much, that they are starting Dahntay Jones over him now. I'm heading to the trade machine...

Actually, Najera (in the past that is) has a nice shot for a man his size.

Although I still think Sean should get minutes.

JR just signed a big contract extension I believe. I'd also try to keep Vince if I were you guys, I mean he has been a good captain this year. Might want to try to dump Hassel and Simmons, but without giving up Vince, Yi, Lopez, or Harris, I doubt you guys can get Smith, unless they REALLY hate him that much. But for the pipe dream effect:

PG: Devin Harris
SG: JR Smith
SF: Vince Carter
PF: Yi Jianlian
C: Brook Lopez

If you guys read the quote correctly like Netted did, I believe he was mad at himself, at least according to the beat writers.

Well that's what I took it as as well. But I'm just speculating about his situation as a whole.

For those who were curious: http://www.realgm.com/src_checktrade.php?tradeid=4815513

I don't think Denver takes it.

I mean they'll be giving you two guys who haven't played this year yet, Hunter with no minutes and Atkins with the injury. They are giving away JR Smith, a big time scorer when on fire. You guys merely give up Williams and Hassel, which I don't think Denver would even want Hassel. Only thing going for Denver in this trade would be the big expiring contract in Swift.

Also Hunter and Atkins will be expired come 2010.

Again this trade is merely for your entertainment.

I didn't mean Sean should be playing the 3. I mentioned them in terms of impact/playing time. But if you're talking about shooting and handling, then don't mention Hassel/Simmons either.

Simmons and Hassell playing has nothing to do with Sean not getting a lot of minutes no matter how bad they suck.

My point was that Sean can only play C. That's all he has the skills for and Boone and Lopez deserve minutes over him because they know how to box out and rebound.

Did anyone see this happen? Cause to pull that from your locker is a pretty big thing. He should fight Dwight.

Sean Williams should be the Nets forum's Chuck Norris

Sean doesn't have the size/strength at the 5. His strength is athleticism and altering shots. He doesn't need to play center in order to have an impact on this team.

It's the only position he knows. He has no jumpshot or post moves. And yes he doesn't have the strength to play center. That's the problem. He's great at blocking shots. Nothing else. If he could rebound well then he maybe challenging Boone for playing time.

Sean would be better suited at the 4. If he had more size, I wouldn't mind him at the 5. I don't care how strong you are. You need width/size to play the 5. But at the 4, I seem to recall a game last year where he gave KG some trouble guarding him. He's not the brightest on man to man D, but he's still athletic enough to still challenge a jumper/dunk attempt when he recovers. On team/help D he could be one of the best in the league. I don't care if he avg 0 rebounds/or 0 pts a gamer. If he can alter shots, and have guys team rebound or a guy like Lopez/Boone with him to grab a board...anything else would be a bonus. He also doesn't need post moves/jump shots to be effective offensively. Sure it helps a great deal, but players can run the floor and move without the ball to get scoring opportunities. All of Sean's higher scoring games were off lobs, rolling to the basket, and on the break.

Were you one of the people calling for Jason Collins' head?

I like seeing this part of Sean, it shows me he cares and wants to get better.
