While it is true that Sean Williams was a problem child at BC, he still has the talent and tenacity to become a premier player in this draft. Scouts who watched him work out in Houston indicated that he reminded them of an Amare Stoudemire type of athlete, who could turn out to be the third best player in the draft, outside of The Big Two. </div>

He may be one of the best athletes and the best shot blocker but there are many people in this draft better than him:

Oden
Durant
Conley
Brewer
Horford
Belinelli
Wright

The list could be longer, but I think all those players are better than Sean Williams and could be better than him too. I don't want to put him down or anything, but in the summer league, he has been garbage. I haven't seen any of his college games, but it looks like he doesn't have the best numbers either. I like the fact that he is a great shot blocker, but where has Theo Ratliff been in his career besides the top of the block lists.

I like Sean Williams and I hope he becomes like a Kenyon Martin or an Amare Stoudemire, but I don't think he could be that good.

That list could be much longer.

Williams is not even be the best shotblocker in the draft (give me Oden over him any day of the week, and probably even Lasme). Most of his blocks came in the way Stromile Swift got his blocks in college. They were based off his size and explosiveness more than his timing, and a lot of times the guy didn't even have the common sense to keep the ball in play.

Also, when you say that he's the third best talent in the draft, you're talking about his entire skillset, and outside of his shotblocking, there really isn't much to talk about with Williams. It's not just a matter of his attitude keeping him down. It's a matter of him being inexperienced and awkward in the post offensively. Not to mention that he's probably more over aggressive than any other draft pick at this point, even moreso than Greg Oden.

Even if you did believe that Williams is a top three talent in the draft (which is a joke), once you factor in his lack of a work ethic, lack of a willingness to learn, and his overall lack of heart, you're left with a player that's destined to be out of the league sooner than any other first rounder in his draft class.
