I listened to his interviews and recently on JJ Redicks podcast and was impressed with his skills...really articulate guy. Easy on the ears.

Steve Smith on the broadcast for summer league today. Don't think he's going to be the guy, but I look forward to hearing his call today.

Steve Smith was awful today. No humor, no vocal inflection high and low, almost as boring to listen to as Shaq. I sure don't want him doing our color.

have you guys every listened to Calabro on the reg? He is pretty animated. I think he will do just fine to bring a contrast to Calabro. He is about as big as we can get while maintaining ties with them for Portland.
I think he will be just fine sitting next to Calabro. Think of Wheels and Tone. They were decent. Tones dismissal had more to do with off air issues than on air.
 
Whomever is doing the color commentary between the Summer League games on NBA.TV (outside of Brent Barry) needs to have their mouths duct taped shut. Some of this shit is so banal and pointless it would put insomniacs on crystal meth to sleep.

HA! Very nice. Man, that guy is everywhere. Big time adidas rep. Met him at our hotel in Miami last year, very cool. Or maybe because Dame introduced us, he felt he needed to be cool.
 
Did anyone else notice during the Meyers and Crabbe stuff Casey retweeted one of the NBA TV guys talking to Brent Barry, I wonder if he knows anything?

Coulda been because he was doing all that stuff during a Blazers game.

It literally just makes me want him as our color guy more though. I love that he has a damn personality.

Don't they need an announcer to announce who's going to be the color announcer? They should have waited to to fire one of the Mikes until after they made the announcement.

Oh we'll be lucky if he even answers our phone call. He does work for a national site ya know
