Bill Walton: The over hyperbole filled musings of the former Trail Blazer player and NBA broadcaster can certainly be as ‘colorful’ as anyone spouting into a microphone. Listening to Walton call a game reminds me of deciphering Dennis Miller doing the SNL news. The analogies are of epic proportion and a player can go from the greatest in the world to making one of the three all-time dumbest plays in the history of basketball in the blink of an eye....
 
I hate to say it, but Travis interviewed Calabro yesterday on air and though when asked about names, Calabro said they were putting to gheter lists, The only other name he mentioned was PJ Gagmeeslimeio and having done some good work with him as of late.

Im hoping for Steve Smith. I think that would have us competing with any team at any level anywhere.
 
I called PJ a few days ago, so I'll stick with it

The color guy doesn't talk as much as Calabro will, so not a bid deal. Even guys like Vitale don't talk a ton
 
I think PJ would be fine. Long time coach....Popovich thought enough of him to bring him on as an assistant. Kevin seems to be the "personality", PJ would just provide analysis...sort of like Steve Jones.
 
If we hired Carlesimo, then we could call them Mo and Bro rather than Mike and Mike =)

Someone who is very popular in Oregon and Washington. Is use to large crowds in the Moda center. Is great with the Us against Them narrative. Young people love him!

The NBA needs to ensure that every player gets free throws in every game, not just the wealthy elite players. And right now, Damian Lillard's contract is worth more than all the other Blazers combined, this has to stop. Every player should make an equal amount of money.

Whats with all the bill walton love? Dude is annoying as fuck. Ya he helped win us a championship last century, what has he done for me lately? Rasheed wallace as color commentator, chris kaman as homer comentator, gary payton as play by play.

Just a guess but right after the Draft and before the start of Free Agency. The Draft is likely to be a yawner for the Blazers even if they do pick up a 2nd rounder somewhere so it will help fill the news cycle.

But since we hired Kevin Calabro we need to hire someone also named Kevin for the color commentator so we can have Kevin and Kevin

well...he did just publish a children's book...that's a game changer! I love Sheed and think he'd be an awesome color guy. He's into music production and Dame's an up and coming artist. I would welcome Sheed to Portland. What did Antonio Harvey ever do for us? Compared to Sheed...nothing
