Wait are we talking about Maggie or Beth?

The actress that plays Beth graduated college in 2006?

Yup. That's about the only thing anyone can find on the web that would indicate an age. Someone was even saying that when asked about her age, her response was, "over 18."

That's surprising. She looks young.

It's not really surprising to me because I'm 31 and people think I'm somewhere between 20 and 22 years old. Some people just look extremely young. The real question is how old she's supposed to be on the show.

She was married. I guess she could be 16, but I never got that impression. I was thinking 18 to 20 originally.

Dunno if it is meant to be the same as the comic or not. Beth seems to be an amalgam of Rachel and Susie. Presumably she's between Karl and Glenn in age, supposing Glenn is younger than Maggie.

Jimmy was just her boyfriend though right? And not even a serious one?

Husband. She made a comment on the show that she had only been dating him for three months before they were married, and then insinuated that she didn't really love him.

All this talk about relationships is really satisfying stuff -- can we maybe start a men's group so that we can do this more regularly?

Dude the show is a soap set during a zombie apocalypse. Like Sons of Anarchy is one set in a motorcycle club. Coming to terms with this takes time.

For the record I don't think Beth & Jimmy were married. In fact I don't think Herschel even approved of them being together but dealt with it given the circumstances. Dunno if we can find a screencap of her with a ring on?

I'm pretty sure she talked about it during episode 10 of season 2 where she wanted to kill herself. Maybe she meant she was "practically" married to him :dunno:

Maggie: "And Jimmie?"

Beth: "We went out for three months and now I'm married to him."

Actually, I couldn't tell if it was a question.... We went out for three months and now I'm married to him?

I think she meant that everyone was putting the two of them together forever when in reality their relationship only persisted due to circumstances out of their control.

Should've been a question mark after "him?"

She definitely didn't seem to mourn after he was killed.

Yeah not much.

Ok new topic--who was watching from the bushes?

I've heard a lot of buzz about this show so I thought I'd check it out. It took me 20 seconds to realize its a show about zombies. Didnt watch another 20 seconds. Didnt look entertaining.

That's because shows like these are too sophistimicated for you Beaver fans. :devilwink:

Just because we prefer orange and black over neon sparklies and prefer that our football players wear uniforms rather than outfits does not mean we aren't sophisticated or intelligent. It's more a sign that we're the ones that actually have those qualities.

Although, I have to admit it's always good times seeing the Oregonian articles guessing what outfit and color scheme the Ducks will showcase the next Saturday.
