Step with kreids and hayes will be dynamite if they stay together. Up 3-1 after one and your worst line of the period is nash, brass and zuk is damn good.

Strong start to the game. As i thought, the Hawks were flat after that long raise of the banner. That goal by Step is very poor defending by the Hawks that you expect them to cover any other game.

Girardi and Boyle have been the worst players tonight. The first line has been average.

Hawks have one of the best coaching staffs in nhl.

So far in game 1 I'm very happy with line 2,3 and 4. They have great energy and seem to have good chemistry with each other. Line one with brass,zuc and Nash seems off, maybe it's the top dman pair they are against.

We went into a defensive shell for the ENTIRE third period. We were not aggressive at all. There were plenty of chances to be aggressive and flip the ice, but we didn't forecheck, and just played passive the entire third period. Was depressing to see that. Was hoping we'd learn from last year that we have to keep the pedal to the metal and keep pushing the pace. Happy with the win though!!!
