Season Predictions

I was looking around other teams forums and i saw this, i thought it would be cool to do one for the nets. Its self explanitory, just state the starting lineup, stats for each player and the season record.

<u>STARTERS</u>
PG: Jason Kidd - 13.5 PPG / 7 RPG / 8.5 APG
SG: Vince Carter - 24 PPG / 6 RPG / 4 APG
SF: Richard Jefferson - 20 PPG / 8 RPG / 4 APG
PF: Jason Collins - 8 PPG / 9 RPG / 3 APG
C: Nenad Krstic - 16 PPG / 8 RPG / 2 APG

<u>BENCH</u>
G: Marcus Williams - 7 PPG / 5 APG / 2 SPG
G: Antoine Wright - 7 PPG / 3 APG
F: Clifford Robinson - 6 PPG / 3 RPG
F: Lamond Murrary - 4 PPG / 3 RPG
F: John Thomas - 2 PPG / 1 RPG

<u>SEASON RECORD: 54-28</u>
The nets can really make some noise in the east this season. Beside the Miami Heat, we had great success in previous years against teams in our conference.. We own the Knicks year in and year out for the past 5 years, the 76ers don't put up a fight, Boston is Boston, we should have a easy time with them this year, Jefferson will shut down Pierce and Vince will probably drop like 50 on them if he feels like it, and Toronto have no one that can guard Vince and Jefferson. I predict the Nets finish 2nd in the Eastern Conference behind the Miami Heat this year, and bulls coming in third.

We're not going to score 107.5 points per game. Collins averaging 8 and 9?

I see the Nets finishing with a 51-32 record, 3rd seed in the East behind the Heat and the Bulls. The Eastern teams are constantly improving (healthy Bobcats, Magic, Toronto, etc), and we don't have the necessary depth to be a consistent threat. We'll have a tough time trying to make the finals, let alone the semi's.
