Season Ticket Renewals

Nope, I'm actually pretty smart, hence the reason I said in my post I'm not complaining about the increase in price.Trust me, I get it from the Blazers point of view. What I am upset about is a 40% percent increase in one year. When your promotional pricing ended did your seat price go up 40%? Break it down 20 and 20 over the next few seasons, I'm down with the program. To me, this high of increase will be a tough sell to a section of fans that were sold tickets on the premise that the Blazers wanted "Blazer maniacs" back in the Garden. Now that they have them, what are they saying. They'd like the older, grumpier, can't stand up and cheer crowd (but with more money) that they had 4 years ago?

why break it into two years when they'll just raise the price next year as well?

So it's not as much of an impact on someones budget, especially during tough economic times. Not to mention a 20% "savings" on the first season.

Would you rather pay:
$10+12+14 = $36
or
$10+14+14 = $38

Like I said I didn't buy the promotional seats because I knew it was a short term deal. My tickets went up 25 cents last year and 4 dollars this year. I also know there used to never be yellow sections in the lower level. Our seats used to be blue which is an even bigger increase. I have been paying full price the whole time and no complaints. I am right on the aisle in row C next to section 212. Also, our section has some grandpas in it but they stand up and act like Blazermaniacs. It is a very fun section and people know what they are talking about.

I am making my first post here, too. Sigh.

Yes, my ticket prices went up 10 percent for next year, but the difference between this year and four years ago when ticket prices became so cheap and some sections were repriced as promotional sections is there is actually a resale market. Four years ago, tickets were being given away free to anyone who asked. It was virtually impossible for me to sell my tickets and any tickets I did sell were under face value. Now, I can mitigate my costs by selling tickets to the games I cannot attend at or above face value.

I had the best bargain in the Rose Garden sitting in the lower bowl in the yellow section. I guess the Blazers figured that out and adjusted the cost of my seats accordingly. Darn them anyway.

Someone asked about the Seat Relocation Event. You will receive a notice from the Blazers with an assigned date and time. You are assigned that date and time according to your priority number. When you attend, you are escorted into the Rose Garden where available seats are marked. You are then given the opportunity to change your seats. There is no telling what will be available.

Welcome to the board. I remember getting together with you for the bash a couple years ago. Nice to hear from you again. Where do you sit now?
