The SEC claims 35 National Championships in the modern era. This includes 92, 93, 96, 98, 03, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10. Pretty impressive.
With the success the SEC has seen, does the success follow the coaches who leave the SEC? Lane Kiffin? Why don't more schools recruit SEC coaches? Ultimately, I keep hearing how Chip is offensive and abrasive because he's an East Coast guy. But, does that act fly with the Southern respect - where so much talent comes from? Why not recruit popular assistance coaches out of the SEC who are familiar with recruiting in that area and could land recruits?
