Lebron, he's getting old but I think he could still help us.

I don't know how "second tier" he would be, but I would have interest in Thaddeus Young at the 3. Kyle O'Quinn would be a decent rotation forward.

I like it, but I think someone is going to stupidly overpay Danny Green.

KJ McDaniels. I think he can be just as good defensively as RHJ down the road.

Getting Tyson Chandler for 8-10 mil would be an absolute steal. Run to the bank and sign immediately

I think he could be had for $10M.

I just posted this idea in another thread bit I think Portland needs to get Ariza. Houston has Brewer, K Pap, and will likely use the MLE on Josh Smith. If Houston gives Ariza in a package to Denver for Lawson I hope we jump in and send Vonleh (combined with Nic's trade exception) with a future 1st for him. We'd still have $40M in cap room with our starting SF situation taken care of.

I like Mcdaniels and that would be a good lowkey pickup by olshey.

I think he'd be a sneaky good pick up ... What number would make Houston think twice about matching?

Since when is a one year deal restricted? He was signed on a non-guaranteed but restricted deal? I've never heard of such a thing. I always assumed he was unrestricted. I have my doubts that Houston lets him go. I think they let Josh Smith/Corey Brewer go before this guy. I could be wrong. I'd start him at 5 or 6 mil.

Sign Houston will be over the cap for the foreseeable future there's no point for them to not match.

Isn't this the whole Jeremy Lin-type of thing from a couple years ago? JJ Hickson had something similar? They are restricted, you can match at your discretion, but you still have to have the cap room to match.

I'm not getting it. Philly signed him to a one year deal and traded him to another team. Why should Houston have his restricted rights? I think that's bullshit.

Wesley Johnson of the Lakers as a young/cheap back up 3...I do know if he's considered "second tier" though.

This guy... He's only 24 and has gotten better each season. He is not a good 3or shooter but was better than Batum this year. Young athletic plays hard and attacks the rim... fits the mold of every other addition we have made. And he is proven. Gives about 10 and 10 per 36 with almost 2 blocks and steals. If we keep Wes we have plenty of shooting with Lillard, Wes and Lamrcus starting and scrappy finishers in Aminu and Plumlee.

yes to Aminu only if he comes off the bench because he could be brought in for whoever getting torched defensively, and he could be brought in with Meyers as the 3rd floor spacer

Although Aminu would be a lot better shooter if he shot the ball at the peak of his jump instead of on the way down. It was the same problem Blake Griffin had, and when Blake fixed it he become a deadly mid range shooter. Aminu has a prefect release, no interference from his offhand and has no hitches. If he released the ball just a little earlier it'd be a smooth one motion shot with textbook form.

Corey Brewer has a player option for next yr, I thought I read he opted out but an not sure

save cap room for stars, and then get the josh smiths and corey brewers of the world for nothing

I thought the same thing after watching some of his jumpers. Barton shot like that when he was here as well. I like how he aggressively attacks the baskets and is very long and annoying on 'D'. Given that Olshey drafted him originally they obviously know each other.

I'd like to see him here.
