Still awful and I don't know how we fix it. CJ isn't a point guard. Neither is Turner. The spacing is wack. Connaughton has fallen back to earth. Swanigan/Collins have been predictably inconsistent. Davis has been very good although he still struggles against actual centers. That's not really the issue though.

Do we give Napier a longer look? Problem is defensively, Napier and McCollum don't really work together.

Other than that, I don't really see a solution internally. Were gonna keep struggling to get into our offense without a point guard, and we're going to keep struggling to score without some spacing and ball movement.

Honest question, did you think we had a great 2nd unit in September? You shouldn't be surprised enough to start a thread about it. It's as bad now as it looked back then.

I've only been complaining about the bench, the loss of Crabbe, and CJs role. Other than that I had all the confidence!

We don't have what they want though, unless we give up a 1st.

We'll see what happens but I don't think Phoenix will land a first for Bledsoe, unless they take on a shitty contract in return. With most teams having limited cap space, draft picks are just too valuable.

Turner +1st 2018 unprotected + 2nd 2019 unprotected vs Bledsoe. I would do that

Well I still give a run with Napier coming in running the 2nd unit. He also can score a little right with CJ running point is not working. It not like Napier going against there number 1 point guard on the other team.

Wade Baldwin the answer? lol

I wish we gave a longer look to European market though where you can get some players with min contracts probably and they are better than Napier etc. An example is Wanamaker that plays for Fener currently. He is Pat Beverley level on D. At least we should give him a look next year as now he got a big contract.

I still think Meyers, Napier, Layman, and a 1st or two is a decent offer for Bledsoe. I wish we'd do it.

I'm not sure Bledsoe would like to be here and be the 3rd guard. And he is too short to play all 3 together so probably would be in a situation where he would not close games. He would not be happy about it.

Myle + 1st? Worth

You were probably joking about Baldwin but his game profiles well next to CJ. He could be an option down the line. I view him as another draft pick. Wilcox could be an option as well. He's always been a good shooter. Maybe he's better than Connaughton. Both guys are more realistic options than actually signing someone and paying extra tax.

I think they should him chance to run the 2nd unit. With CJ beside him at the 2 if they want to have CJ with a the 2nd unit.

It's better than Phoenix though.

Realistically as much as we complain about the lack of defense, lack of scoring beyond Dame/CJ/Nurk is just as big of a problem... Yeah we aren't stopping the other team as much as we want, but we also aren't answering with buckets either.

Knicks have to clear a roster spot to make room for Noah next week. They've made Kuzminskas available. I have a thing for most euros but don't really care for him. I would be interested in O'quinn though, even with Davis' play. Those two could probably play together anyway. Then there's always Courtney Lee.

Synergy: Greg Monroe finished 10th in the NBA in post up scoring and ranked as the league's 5th most efficient roll man last season.

Would be an ideal backup for Nurk. Could also use him like Aldridge, just with the second unit. Good passer as well.

Bledsoe just got traded to the Bucks.

Ouch. That's gonna be a good team.

How about this

Harkless and Leonard for Greg Monroe and Derrick Jones. Maybe Olshey even squeezes a second out of it.

We get a backup center on an expiring deal. If he leaves in the summer it's a nice salary dump. In the meantime it gives us a low post scorer for the second unit, with Ed moving to PF where he's a better fit.

Makes sense on the court and in the books.

The second unit is so bad it reminds me of the hilarious Bucs coach years ago. When asked what he thought of his teams execution, John McKay said he was in favor if it.
