You need to re-read the info in your link.

The 130,000 is not all of the illegals caught at the southern border. That is only the number of non-Mexican illegals caught.
Good catch. But your numbers are still bogus. 310,000 undocumented immigrants were returned at our Southern border which results in 849 per day.
I also learned that the number of undocumented Mexican immigrants has declined by 1 Million since 2007.

First, I go directly to the border patrol website for my numbers.

Second, if you go there, the first thing you will read is, their numbers for 2018 are incomplete. And will remain incomplete untill a little matter called a shutdown is ended.

Third. The last incomplete numbers the border patrol published for 2018 shows 396,579 illegals caught on the southern border.

Not sure where your info is from?
Over 400,000 for 2017.
2018 was ahead of 2017, with over 51,000 for the month of May. Compared to under 20,000 for the same month in 2017.

Clearly this is all Trump's fault. He is making America great again so all the Mexican criminals(*) want to come here. If we remove him from office, America will resume to it's natural un-Trump greatness and the problem will be resolved.

(*) They obviously believe that if we have a criminal boss for a president - this is a safe haven for their kind.

Border patrol numbers are notoriously inaccurate. NGOs offer more accurate numbers.

So by your own calculations, you are more worried about the 100 criminals trying to break in than the 70,000,000 criminals already inside.

That seems insane to me.

Strange that I didn’t come to the same conclusion from reading his post.

A group of 376 Central Americans reportedly made their way into the U.S. at the Arizona border this week via holes that were dug beneath a barrier, the Border Patrol said.

Members of the group were arrested after they entered the country on Monday. They did not attempt to avoid law enforcement prior to their apprehension, the Border Patrol said, according to The Associated Press.

MIGRANT CARAVAN FREELY CROSSES MEXICAN BORDER AFTER GATES WERE LEFT OPEN, AUTHORITIES AVOIDED ‘CONFRONTATION’

The crowd of migrants, which reportedly consisted of 176 children, dug under a steel barrier in multiple areas, located to the east of a border crossing in San Luis, according to the agency.

Customs and Border Protection Arizona tweeted a video of the group, adding that “almost all were families or unaccompanied juveniles.”

Another video and photos from the agency showed Yuma Sector Border Patrol agents processing the group on Monday.

Nearly the entire unit was from Guatemala, according to The Associated Press.

There is no concrete under that stretch of the barrier, allowing people to dig short, cross-border holes, Border Patrol spokesman Jose Garibay said.

The group’s apprehension comes amid the ongoing partial government shutdown, during which Democrats and Republicans have been at odds with each other over funding for a barrier at the southern U.S. border.

Yes, tunnels work better than walls. I think that was your point.

Poll: Trump Gains Approval From Latino Voters Since Gov't Shutdown

Latinos are increasingly rallying for President Trump, according to data from a new NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll.

The poll notes that 50 percent of Latinos surveyed approve of the job Trump is doing, a 19-point increase from December of last year.

Republican strategist Gus Portella said Saturday on Fox & Friends that the improvement is "very important."

"This president has done historic strides to help the Latino community," he said, noting the low unemployment of Latinos under Trump.

The poll also noted that 63 percent of all adults surveyed want to see elected officials make compromises.

It also said that 31 percent would want to see their elected officials "stick to their positions," while six percent are "unsure."

Portella said that Trump could fall into either category of making a compromise or sticking to what he believes.

"He's willing to make a deal, he's willing to compromise," Portella said. "But Democrats, on the other hand, they're simply not."

He said that Hispanics do care about border security, and that Democrats in the United States have "failed them."

"Democrats have not lived up to their word," Portella said.

Trump Touts Border Wall In San Antonio, Which Has No Wall And Isn’t On The Border
The city is 150 miles north of Mexico.

President Donald Trump on Saturday boasted to reporters about how well San Antonio’s border wall is working. But the Texas city is 150 miles from the Mexican border and has no wall.

“Everybody knows that walls work. You look at different places, they put up a wall, no problem,” Trump said outside the White House. “You look at San Antonio, you look at so many different places, they go from one of the most unsafe cities in the country to one of the safest cities, immediately, immediately.”

So walls don't work as people just dig under them.
Shocking I tell you.

omg the guy is less informed than maris in La White Pine Oregon. :biglaugh::biglaugh:

How long will the shutdown go? Trump won't back down till he gets his way. The Dems won't give him his wall. Likely, Trump will end up declaring a national emergency to go around congress to get his wall, and then reopen the government so he can try and make himsrlf look like a hero.

In truth this tantrum of his has and will continue to come at a great cost the longer it continues. American families are being held hostage. Soon, they won't be able to pay their rent. Families will lose their homes. National security at airports and government facilities is already being effected. Security will continue to weaken putting Americans in further danger. Federally funded programs for the lower class such as welfare and education (I work at headstart which is federally funded) will go unfunded. Tax refunds that families depend on will be delayed for months. The economy will collapse. Our country will continue to weaken and be in greater danger of attack. This needs to stop.

A wall along the whole border is a waste of money. People will dig under it, climb over it, etc. Parts of the wall will have to be built on private property, where those land owners have already said they don't want walls on their property.

If both sides weren't blinded by partisan politics, perhaps some middleground could be found. There are better ideas than building a some two thousand mile wall. Indentify the most critical areas and build lengths of wall there, have our soilders patrol the borders at intervals rather than having them steal oil overseas. Build DHS offices down there, larger shelters with resources at the border that can house immigrants until they can get visas, get approved to be here. Not detention centers where child are kept in cages. Immigrants would almost certainly go there. This would also make it easier to expose those who are bringing drugs, because they of course won't use this resource. Most drug smugglers are mules crossing the border at checkpoints or across the water in the gulf of mexico and Pacific oceans. Beef up security here. Invest in more advanced technology such as drones and devices that can scan vehicles and boats to determine if they are hiding drugs. These are just a few ideas.
