Triple-amputee Air Force veteran on mission to raise $1B for US-Mexico border wall

Brian Kolfage, a disabled U.S. Air Force veteran, is raising money to help build a U.S.-Mexico border wall.

A triple amputee U.S. military veteran says he was inspired to raise money for President Trump’s U.S.-Mexico border wall after reading a New York Post article that questioned why no one had taken up the mantle.

In just three days, Brian Kolfage’s
GoFundMe campaign, “We The People Will Fund The Wall,” has racked up more than $2 million from more than 34,000 people, with a goal of raising $1 billion.

"If the 63 million people who voted for Trump each pledge $80, we can build the wall," the page reads. "That equates to roughly 5Billion Dollars, even if we get half, that's half the wall. We can do this."

— Brian Kolfage, triple amputee U.S. military veteran
Kolfage wrote that the campaign has been in touch with the Trump administration “to secure a point of contact where all funds will go upon completion.”

“As a veteran who has given so much, 3 limbs, I feel deeply invested to this nation to ensure future generations have everything we have today,” Kolfage’s page reads. “Too many Americans have been murdered by illegal aliens and too many illegals are taking advantage of the United States taxpayers with no means of ever contributing to our society.”

He added: “Democrats are going to stall this project by every means possible and play political games to ensure President Trump doesn’t get his victory. They'd rather see President Trump fail than see America succeed. However, if we can fund a large portion of this wall, it will jumpstart things and will be less money Trump has to secure from our politicians.”

Kolfage is a retired U.S. Air Force member who served in Iraq. During his second deployment for Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2004, Kolfage was injured in a rocket attack at Balad Air Base. According to Kolfage's website, a 107mm rocket shell exploded about three feet away from him. Kolfage lost both legs and his right hand and required 11 months of therapy at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

Kolfage continued to serve in the Air Force for several more years and was assigned to Davis Monthan Air Force Base in Arizona as the base security manager. Kolfage is "the most severely wounded Airman to survive any war," his website states. He is now a motivational speaker and has appeared multiple times on FOX News.

Kolfage graduated from the University of Arizona's School of Architecture in 2014 and is now married with children.

The White House did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment. This week, the White House retracted its $5 billion figure to fund the border wall amid a looming government shutdown.

“We have other ways that we can get to that $5 billion that we’ll work with Congress,” White House press secretary Sarah Sanders told Fox News on Tuesday.

BORDER WALL EFFORT GETTING BOOST FROM US SHERIFFS' CROWDFUNDING SITE

Kolfage's campaign is not the first crowdfunding effort to raise money for the border wall. In September the National Sheriff's Association launched a website for donations. As of mid-December, the website has garnered nearly $160,000.

Oh, are you ever in for a disappointment on election day. Hope you have plenty of Kleenex on hand for that day.

I've asked @MARIS61 multiple times for him to explain what a "real American" is...I've yet to get an answer.

If you have to ask, then you don't know. :dunno:

FWIW, several off your intimate contacts name's appear in the recently leaked Communist China Party Membership data this week, so to keep America safe from further commie infiltration I'll just keep you in the dark about what separates Real Americans from commie pretenders. :cowboy:

The Department of Homeland Security has already built around 426 miles of the border wall and contractors are working nonstop to meet their goal of 450 miles by the new year.

Mark Morgan, acting commissioner of President Donald Trump’s U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agency, highlighted the group’s progress on social media, tweeting, “We have completed more than 426 miles of new border wall system, and we’re going to meet our mark of 450 miles by the end of the year.”

“Nearly all of the miles funded for new border wall system are currently under contract,” he continued. “The impact of stopping construction would be disastrous.”

According to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection website, around 640 thousand tons of steel and over 900 thousand cubic yards of concrete have been used to build the border wall system.

Joe Biden has expressed opposition to the border wall, and his campaign website refers to Trump’s 2019 declaration of the illegal immigration crisis at the border that sparked the border project a “so-called National Emergency.”

“End the so-called National Emergency that siphons federal dollars from the Department of Defense to build a wall. Building a wall will do little to deter criminals and cartels seeking to exploit our borders,” the Biden-Harris website stated. “Instead of stealing resources from schools for military children and recovery efforts in Puerto Rico, Biden will direct federal resources to smart border enforcement efforts, like investments in improving screening infrastructure at our ports of entry, that will actually keep America safer.”

In another tweet, Morgan warned it would be costly to stopped border wall construction. He tweeted “1. The costs when we walk away from billions already invested, incl. a settlement process for termination of convenience. 2. Material have already been purchased, incl. 270,000 tons of steel. 3. More costs incurred for restoration, such as filling in trenches already dug.”

Morgan continued to show his support for the wall, tweeting, “This system not only enhances safety along the SW border, but also encourages lawful and safe entry through available ports of entry.”

By the end of this calendar year, we’ll have 450 miles of new border wall system. This system not only enhances safety along the SW border, but also encourages lawful and safe entry through available ports of entry.

Do we have to go through this all over again? I suggest a bet about the election and you wisely back out.

Stopping construction on that updated fencing won't be particularly disastrous, don't worry.

Are they going to complete that three mile stretch that Trump partially completed when he completed the first two miles?
How's that Steve Bannon "We Build the Wall" campaign coming along? Better wait until that stretch of wall is completed.

I think Trump has it almost right.

Australia has it right.

We need to secure our southern border with a big, beautiful wallaby.

Thirteen people killed in one of the deadliest border crashes on record were among 44 people who entered the U.S. through a hole cut into Southern California's border fence with Mexico, the Border Patrol said Wednesday. Gregory Bovino, the agency's El Centro sector chief, told The Associated Press that surveillance video showed a Ford Expedition and Chevrolet Suburban drive through the opening early Tuesday. It's believed they were part of a migrant smuggling operation.

The Suburban carried 19 people, and it caught fire after entering the U.S. All escaped the vehicle and were taken into custody by Border Patrol agents.

The Expedition crammed with 25 people continued on, and a tractor-trailer struck it a short time later. Ten of the 13 killed have been identified as Mexican citizens. The rest of those in the SUV and the truck driver survived.

What is the mechanism that delivers this money to the people?

Is it government subsidies to corporations? So trickle down economics? The thing we've already proven doesn't work time and time again?

I keep hearing people on the right across social media say it's going to trickle down to us. It's not. We have been here. We have tried that. The rich aren't sharing the spoils.
