OT Select-A-Seat

Just got back. Went in with the first group. I'm limited to the six seats I've already got so I went thinking that maybe I could improve my location. None of the available seats were as good as what I've already got so I just stayed pat.

I just answered a questionnaire online where they offered an autographed penant to one lucky responder. Guess I'll have to wait and see if I'm a winner.

The questionnaire asked a string of questions about my game experience. I was pretty happy except the food which my wife and I find terrible. About the only things we can eat or drink are the lemonade, the kettle korn and the Hefeweissen bier (beer in English).

I lobbied for better food and did a little bitching about the 25% price hike for my six seats.

I also put in a good word for Sly hoping they would contact him about my proposal to let some of us meet and greet with the GM. Cross you fingers or whatever.

Had the same experience @Lanny. Got my 2 seats in the corner the last year of the Jailblazer era and they were practically giving them away. My rep says I would never get a half-season like I have where I have them at this point and I should never give them up.

And agree, with this being such a foodie town, I should be able to get something besides deep-fried crappy chicken, gross burgers, or crazy expensive slices of pizza.

did my seat selection today, and I don't know how I got so lucky when I bought mine originally a few yeas ago. Nothing even close has opened up that would be worthy without at least doubling my costs.
I did upgrade ther bosses club tickets though. When its someone else's money its so much easier.

You obviously need to walk around the concourse more and try the other options that are available. The food at the Moda Center is solid. It's obviously over priced, but all arenas food/beer is ridiculously high. And judging by your boring beer choice, I cant help but question for the validity of your opinion.

I would disagree.
The pizzas are often cold, old slices with hardly anything on them.
The fish place is waaayyyyy too greasy.
The pasta place is all noodles and sauce, hardly any meat.

There are a couple decent places but by and large most of the choices are typical bar food type stuff. I expect more from the moda.

With that said. I havent been to many other arenas to compare to. If all the have are mcdonalds and burgerkings, then we are doing better.

One thing i really like is they serve 10 barell apocolypse. My favorite beer.
One beer costs the same as a six pack At fred meyer though....
