Well I definitely try to avoid that.

I don't believe anything strongly without evidence or expert testimony.

Without at least one of those in the equation nothing serious is really worth discussing, IMO.

And the existence of either supercedes anecdotes and non expert opinion in almost all cases.

If something exists there is evidence for it. I could claim a purple unicorn lives in my house. But no one else can see, hear or feel it.
