"His whole body was imbalanced from basically his shoulder blades down to his feet," Reavy says. "He was developing a lot of back problems ... He was developing strength in an imbalanced fashion. And what I see in Tracy, in general, he had no core strength, he couldn't hold a plank."

So Reavy and Grover devised a rehab plan that would help bring it all back -- the work is already paying dividends.

"[Tracy] took a hard fall seven years ago in 2002 and he said he was never able to dunk off his left leg [since]. We got him dunking off his left leg four and a half months post micro-fracture, which is basically unheard of," Reavy says. "The results that we get here are basically unprecedented because we take the force off the injured area, we make the body absorb the force equally, so that it can heal properly and faster without the loading that it's constantly getting before.

Maybe we should send Greg there? It is a good read. Check it out! Almost makes me want to route for McGrady!

Maybe Greg should have spent some time with him. Is it too late this year?

This message brought to you (or, more particularly, other front offices) by the propaganda offices of the Houston front office.

This is/was one of my concerns about Oden. His upper body last year was huge compared to his lower body, which can lead to things like balance problems and such. Hard to deny how clumsy Greg looked at times last year.

That wasn't entirely Greg's fault. He wasn't allowed to do serious leg work until 05/2009. Expect to see a more proportioned Greg next year. Also, he was doing Pilates and other core strengthening exercises, they just wouldn't let him do squats or serious leg work.

That's true, although at the same time, they shouldn't have let him bulk up so much in his upper body then. On the other hand, maybe he just couldn't help it, him being a physically still maturing 20-year-old.

I've always liked McGrady. Top 10 player easily if he could be 100%. I draft him every year hehe..
