Zach Randolph has been implicated in an Indianapolis drug investigation.

According to a probable cause affidavit, a trusted police informant identified Randolph as a major marijuana supplier in Indianapolis, 6News' Jack Rinehart reported.

Narcotics officers were staking out a suspected drug house on Indianapolis' north side two weeks ago when they pulled over Arthur Boyd, 32, soon after he left the residence, near 75th Street and Binford Avenue, police said.

According to the affidavit, the Cadillac Escalade that Boyd was driving was registered to Randolph, and police found marijuana and ammunition stowed inside.

"One of his vehicles had what we call hidden compartments that contained suspected narcotics, that being marijuana," said Lt. Jeff Duhamell.

Based on information found in the Escalade, police later raided a northeast side storage facility, where they said Randolph rents four lockers.

The police informant is also quoted in the affidavit as having told investigators that Randolph was known to provide individuals with expensive cars and access to his Geist Reservoir waterfront home.

Randolph's attorney, John Tompkins, told 6News Wednesday evening that Boyd worked for his client, and that Randolph is not connected to any drug activity.

It's only weed but he's going to spend some time in jail.

What a moron.

It's all hearsay! It's racist FAMS!

I'm not a Zach supporter by any means, but you have to wonder if he had any knowledge what-so-ever. It wouldn't shock me to hear that his "hoops family" guys had full use of "his" escalade and storage units ... that said it wouldn't shock me to find out that he masterminded the whole thing either.

Sounds like reasonable doubt to me

Zach was volunteering at a soup kitchen set up for war veterans all of that time! The Hoop Fam stole his car! He has nothing to do with those guys anymore.

It would shock me to find out he masterminded it, bankrolled with a cut of the profits sure, but I think the next time Zbo successfully masterminds anything will be his 1st time.

I think it's laughable people are expecting JAIL TIME for Z-Bo. He's rich as fuck, he'll find a way to get out of this even if it means one of his friends takes the fall.

where's the we need/should never have traded Z-Bo crowd tonight?

If smoking dope makes me play basketball like Zach, pass the dutchie to me.

Forget basketball, I'll just take a bong rip and eat like Zach.

And then quickly customized it with secret compartments.

Zach is basically the present day Han Solo. A spice smuggler using secret compartments in his Millenium Falcon. He's lucky that the bounty hunters haven't caught up with him yet. He should be sentenced to be molded in carbonite.

I'm not defending (or attacking) Zach. I'm just saying I would find it completely plausible that Zach bought a Cadillac, turned it over to the Hoops Family and doesn't even remember that he owns the thing (same thing with the storage units). I also find it completely plausible that he could be wrapped up in a weed smuggling operation, not because he needs the money, not because he's some diabolical evil genius, but becuase he's stupid enough to let himself get involved with something like this because his buddies are involved in it.

Either way, he's either guilty of ignorance on a criminal scale, or he's just plain a criminal; pretty sad.

I just don't understand why a guy that makes more money than he'll ever need would ever get involved in something like this. It's baffling. And flat out retarded.

As long as the bounty hunters don't have George Lucas modify their voices for the blu-ray reimagined releases.

HOW THE FUCK CAN YOU CHANGE BOBA FETT'S VOICE OH MY GOD

I hate when friends borrow my cars and install hidden compartments in them.

I'm sure the multiple storage sheds are just b/c he has more Christmas ornaments than my mom.

Zach's been traded a lot the last four years. Who can blame the guy for wanting multiple storage units? I credit the puritanical Portland fans for getting Zach to make some practical decisions for how he plans for his future.

I've never said we need Zach, nor that we never should have traded him. The deal we made was a bad one, and we'd be better off if we had not made the deal and then, as a Blazer, Zach were arrested this summer and then went to prison than we are right now.

Ed O.

We'd be worse off if that deal were never made, and Zach was currently a Blazer.

Or maybe he focuses his energy on smuggling weed in Oregon and Washington and never has the run-in with the Indy cops? Parallel universes are fun!!

Your tax dollars being thrown away chasing innocuous libations.

Cops are absolute morons, mostly cowards with huge ego issues, and of little use to anyone who pays their salary.

Used to be they chased bad guys but apparently they lack the courage nowadays.

"Murderers, rapists, child-molesters, or pot smokers? I'll devote my shifts to busting pot smokers. Those other guys are too scary."
