Sabathia vs Tillman

They need a solid eight innings out of CC tonight. You cannot be into the pen in the sixth.

Hope the guy can deliver or else they're going to need a lot of horsepower from the offense. First of a 10 game road trip, the "ghosts" will have to come out and provide some help!

With no pen and less than reliable pitching they're in trouble.

Arod batting second tonight, what is with that!
It's because he is so good at working the count, and going the other way. I'm kidding, the only thing I can think of is Girardi is trying to get him pitches hitting in front of Cano.

Gardner CF
Arod 3B
Cano 2B
Soriano DH
Granderson LF
Nunez SS
Overbay 1B
Suzuki RF
Romine C

What no Wells? He's there best hitter.

Just heard those "brilliant" multi championship team ex players Harold Reynolds and Mitch Williams trash mouthing the Yankees. Really whizzes me off of how this team was put in this situation by front office neglect. Pleasac is another one, a loose cannon with all his whacked out trash talk and predictions. Leiter is the only one having multi championship experience on good teams.

Mess, they've been in trouble all year. Never seen this in all my years
of watching Yankee baseball where injuries were non stop & Yankee
management had no player development program. Yankee farm
system is a disaster.

Crazy they have zero mlb ready debth. The 200 catcher prospects will surely help.

Given the gravity of the games in Cleveland & Baltimore this evening television views into both ball parks show skimpy crowds at both locations.

Was thinking the same. Not making an excuse but most schools started today.

CC is another who can't finish anyone anymore.

Typical, 5th inning and BUFF our multi=million dollar ace is unraveling like a ball of twine. Where is the offense?

Looks like the offense was given milk and cookies and put to sleep after all the runs they scored against Boston. Got 7+ out of BUFF in another loss but Girardis pen was saved tonight.

I can't help to think that this off season has to be one of two scenarios. A rebuild and the attempt to buy key free agents, aka Stephen Drew, to fill holes till 2015 or more of the same. Nothing. If it is nothing, then I will finally understand how fans can move off their team. How the people I was always critical of came to their decision. If ownership doesn't care, then the fan is left with no hope. Now I know we have been sparred this under George, but for the love of the game, I have watched what Loria has done with the Marlins and their fans. I could never watch it happen with the Yankees.

Unfortunately,,,,,,,,it is actually happening with the Yankees as we speak.

The Yankees need to show in the winter that they have some sort of plan.
