Who do you expect to pick up the bill for the people who get sick and refuse to buy into medical insurance?

He grew up a normal life like you and I. He wasn't given a million dollar loan from his father. He went to Harvard on his own merit.

That's funny...he sure doesn't act like it.

Conan O'Brien went to Harvard too, and he's just as much of an elitist asshole. And that hurts, because he was actually my most favorite Late Night host for a long time, until this election cycle revealed him to be just as bad as every other Leftist in Hollywood.

He actually said in an interview once: "I went to Harvard...I deserve the Tonight Show". I shit you not. Deserves it just because he went to Harvard. Talk about arrogance.

Why is there a bill? I get sick once or twice a year. I have medical insurance and i dont go to the doctor because i know ill still pay a fuck ton of money for some educated prick to confirm im sick. Rest, drink fluids, eat chicken noodle, and suck it the fuck up. Maybe if hospitals and prices up front they could just require payment before issuing treatment. But they keep prices secret so they can charge the fuck out of people with good insurance.

It's still unconstitutional to force me to buy a product. The car insurance arguement is invalid. No one forces you to own a vehicle, you can opt out of driving and not get fined. You cant opt out of living and not get fined.

Trump's not an elistist asshole?

Why because he knew he could coax gullible Republican's and converted parties a couple years ago? Before or after he was donating to Clinton's campaign. Of that I'm not sure.

Who the fuck goes to the hospital for a common cold?

I spent 2 months in the hospital in 2010. 5 surgeries, 2 of them life saving and I was discharged from the hospital with a bill of almost $250k. I had dual coverage through my work and my parents (I was under 26 at the time). I paid $400 out of pockets. No joke.

Kids under 26 are now being taken off their parents coverage with the new repeal that Senate just passed 51 to 48.

If you want to look for someone in the medical industry to be the object of your scorn you should look at these big pharma companies that are upcharging outrages prices so these CEO's can line their pockets and your Republican's want to give them tax breaks.

No, because...contrary to popular belief, he's actually worked with many blue-collar types through Construction and Real-estate.

Obama did not. In fact, I highly doubt he's ever even picked up a tool before in his life.

I like how when a Democrat proposes a tax cut somewhere, Liberals pat themselves on the back and say it's for Climate Change, or victims of violence.

But when a Republican does it....they're evil and giving tax breaks to Corporations.

You can't have it both ways.

Hahahaaaahhhahahha

okay thats it. I need to laugh this one off an go to bed. LOL.

The blue collar types that he didn't pay?

I hope he doesn't do too bad as a president. I think some of his ideas are good and aren't necessarily to favour the rich. Maybe being as rich as he is somehow would make him not bend for money and work for the people.
I hope some of his more popoulistic demagogue ideas would be removed from the table by him or those around him and I hope he does well. I'm not American so he's not my president and I can't vote in your country but the American president doing good is important for the entire world. I have my concerns regarding him and wouldn't vote for him if I could (I liked Sanders) and of course some of his behaviour and language isn't very presidential but I hope he does well and brings a positive influence and direction

I don't tread over here very much as most of you know. My wife and I would not be considered super political people. I served my country and we both vote, but that's the extent. I honestly paid no attention to this election......it was more of a choose the lesser evil of the two situation. I know there are a hundred separate threads about Trump, but I just had a question for you experts in the word of politics.

That said, we both loved Obama and how he handled himself during his tenure. He really connected with a whole new audience if you will. To me, politicians have always felt like my grandparents. Old and stuffy...... shit this guy had a weekly run of hoops at the white house. Regularly mingled with musicians, actors and athletes. Seemed like a regular guy. I wa proud to call him our leader.

Now that may be the exact reason why some DON'T like him, wouldn't really understand that, but everybody is allowed to have their own opinion.

My question is, for you that are actually HAPPY that Trump won the election, how do you explain or accept or say it's OK when it comes to all the bullshit he has said?

I have a daughter and she is 11. And she asked me the other night, "Why is trump our president, even though he had grabbed women in their private parts?" WOW! How do you answer this? How sad that our kids will remember a person that has said what he has said about people openly as our leader. All the hate, degrading things he has said make any type of policies he plans to implement completely moot if you ask me. I don't care how many jobs he creates, aren't you honestly worried he'll say or do something so completely out of line or offensive at a dinner with dignitaries from other countries that he will hurt us as a country?

As much as I fuck around on here, I'm a husband and a parent first and I have raised my kids to do nothing but show compassion and respect to others NO MATTER WHAT. And it saddens me that the man who now holds the most powerful position in our country, even the world has been allowed to treat other humans beings this way.

I hope I haven't offended any Trump supporters by asking these questions, just was wanting serious answers from people who support and believe that a man like this is what's best for you and your family. Curious how you would have answered the question my daughter asked me.

Hope this doesn't become another thread where you guys just blast each other or me. Just want to know how you can be happy with your choice as you tuck your kids into bed.

What do you think about Bill Clinton then? What about Neil Goldschmidt?

Surely someone who is going to help the "little guy"

Sounds pretty simple to me....do a quality job, and you'll be paid appropriately. And don't sign off on a contract until you've inspected it and the work appropriately.

Many of these people that are whining about Trump likely didn't go out of business JUST because of Trump. They very likely went out of business because of their own poor business practices, and not managing their money appropriately.

Filing for bankruptcy is usually a combination of many things. To blame Trump as the sole cause is asinine and ridiculous.

I use to work at a hospital. Primarily in the ER. Who the fuck goes to ER for a common cold? Ill tell you, a whole shit load of people, primarily those who cant afford health care and are now supported by your tax money instead of just turning them away and telling them to stop being stupid.

They put a bandaid on a problem that requires surgery. They should have passed a law to make it legal to turn people away. Theres one guy that calls EMS every month because he sells his prescription drugs and runs out of pain meds. So he takes a ride to the ER and gets emergency pain meds. He owes EMS like 250k and owes hospital like half mil. Every week. For years. They discharge him from ER. He signs himself back in. And they cant turn him away legally. Its insane. Hes not going to pay for obama care. He doesnt give a fuck. He's not going to pay a fine, he doesnt work, i highly doubt he pays taxes on the meds he sells illegally. This is not an isolated incident. People do this shit every where.

You made a very good point. All Obamacare is is a bandaid on the Healthcare system in this country.

The fact of the matter is that this has been a problem for decades and decades, and should have been fixed, even gradually, by previous administrations from BOTH parties. But no....election after election, and they all stalled on it and brushed the problem off on to the next administration.

Then Obama gets it, and by the time he does, it's a huge, absolute clusterfuck. Made all the worse by the fact that we are more over-populated and more unhealthy than ever before.

It's no wonder that this was such a problem. The problem with Obamacare though, was that it was rushed and shoved down the people's throats, without being properly amended and corrected first. And, as a result, you now have a bloody, dirty bandaid on a shotgun wound.

I understand your concern, but I think you are missing the main reason why we voted Trump in. We are for change and having the country run efficiently.

I completely disagree that Obama was a good president. He's a cool guy, but a terrible president. Our country has been more divided now than it's been for over 40 years.

When jobs come back and the economy turns itself around, we will be a much happier country.

Get ready for the next 8 years be in the history books as the time our country turned around! MAGA

I think one way I look at it, I would let Barack Obama speak for me, would you guys let Donald Trump speak for you? I believe I have a lot of the same beliefs and opinions as Barack Obama, do you have a lot of the same beliefs and opinions as Donald Trump? I believe Barack Obama could sit in our living room with my daughter my wife and my mom and I can leave the room and feel comfortable, curious if you guys feel the same way about Donald Trump?
My wife would beat Donald Trump's ass if he grabbed her. Not worried about it.

Well said, Mags!

You don't have a daughter do you? I'm the complete opposite, you can delete and hide as many emails as you like, but you can't grab my wife or daughter in the pussy.
This is such a cut off my nose to spite my face way of thinking I can't fathom it.

It's not even about the emails. She is Merkel, youtube what is going on in Germany and get back to me.

This. Anyone that thinks that Merkel is not responsible for what's happening in Germany obviously hasn't been paying attention.

Pay no attention to the scorned Republicans who post on this forum. They're jaded. Obama has had a great run as President and will probably go down as one of the greats. Despite having the cards stacked against him with the house majority going to the right and guys like Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan trying to block his every move. The fact that they're trying to repeal Obamacare, aka the Affordable Care Act is a leading example of Republican's trying to change a great thing because it wasn't their idea, oh and it straight up has Obama's name wrapped around it. They have no ideas of what to replace it with. Talk to low educated Republican's like I have and they say Obamacare is an "absolute disaster". I question why and they say its because they shouldn't be forced to pay for medical insurance if they don't want to. Okay, you non-union warehouse worker with a 20 year tenure, tell me who's going to flip the bill when your unhealthy, cigarette smoking, fast food eating ass starts to gradually decline in health. You have a stroke right now and you'll gladly accept the benefits of Obamacare. This train of thought is what got us into this mess of a future President. These are real people I have interacted with on a daily basis with this line of thinking, not just one.

Obama bombed and used drones a little too liberally for some peoples tastes. They're probably right. But those on the right also thought he would be soft on foreign affairs.
Contrary to what many of these Republican blowhards in these threads want you to believe, and what Rush Limbaugh and Shawn Hannity tells them, Obama has been a solid job creator. The types of jobs Republican's want to create are the ones that are low paying in a day of age where that ain't gonna cut it to pay bills and raise a family.

The middle class is what strengthens an economy. Country's with either rich or poor are disastrous. If we want to get back to that we need start manufacturing in America again and leaning on the backbone of the middle class: UNIONS.

Trump is a President who doesn't care about the average American like his voters want to think. He's a rich guy, born with a silver spoon who cares about protecting the rich, corporations and looking out for his best interests when it comes to his businesses. Hell, a handful of years ago he was donating money to the Clinton campaign.
If everything you say is true, why do you think he would donate to the Clinton campaign?

FAIL. If someone doesn't do the job right and not on time, you don't pay them.

Do you pay a contractor that builds you a crooked house, two years over schedule? I guess progressives do

FAIL. If you're Trump and you're building casino's don't you hire the guys to do the work with the best reputation out there? You'd think a smart billionaire who is building a world class casino would hire the cream of the crop at what they do? You think he hires 3rd rate fledgling architects to creates these gaudy towers?

He's a con artist who has a reputation as a shady businessman who doesn't pay up and tries to drag out legal wranglings for years to not have to pay.

Dude, he's going to be a disaster. And I'm stuck in a hard place. On one side I want whats best for the country without a doubt, but I know that not Donald Trump. On the other hand I'm going to love seeing naive, "Trump Warriors" like yourself with egg all over your face because you were too charmed by a sociopath to filter through his bullshit.

So you're an elitist asshole who values the opinion of Cher and Lady GaGa over the struggles of those "racist homophobic" working class families in Nebraska or Arkansas?

Obama called me a "bitter clinger" and buttered it up with Hillary's "Deplorable" comment.

Trump called me an "American".

I'd say he's doing alright so far.

That it's okay to be white, that immigrants need to come here legally, that we need better border security, that we need to re-establish diplomacy with Moscow, that it's okay to have a gun for self-defense, that party politics is out of control in Washington, that Liberals need to grow a spine and fuck PC and safe spaces....

Yeah, I share a lot of those same beliefs.

Of course I do. When he actually attacks someone, instead of this made-up fantasy of him being some uncontrollable rapist, then we'll address it appropriately. But I have a feeling that you're going to be waiting a long time for him to do that.

BINGO.

Do your research on this video. The guy ultimately says he likes Trump and would do business w/him again. Also HE fucked up in this, not Trump, again do your research.

I understand your concern, but I think you are missing the main reason why we voted Trump in. We are for change and having the country run efficiently.

Obama was a race baiting, country dividing, cloak and dagger type President, who did whatever the fuck he wanted to do for power, political, and monetary gain, by Exec. Order. He was a complete crook. And I VOTED HIM IN THE FIRST TIME, fucking brainwashed by MSM. No more. (Yes I was a Democrat, when Democrats actually stood for REAL ideals.)

FAIL. If someone doesn't do the job right and not on time, you don't pay them.

Do you pay a contractor that builds you a crooked house, two years over schedule? I guess progressives do

BINGO. That guy was a complete idiot.

I wake up to this and realized I missed a great discussion last night, but the usual honorable peoples have said exactly what I would have said, good job dudes.
