You were giggling about Skip Bayless or Kenny Smith, or something, as a way of criticizing LMA.

LA could certainly improve his efficiency by taking a few less jumpers. LA working on his face up game or becoming more dedicated to posting up would likely result in more FTA's. Getting up to 8 FTA's per game would certainly help his scoring average without forcing him to lead the league in FGA's.

LA has been doing great but for him to be a realistic MVP candidate he needs to shoot .50% because you know for damn sure Lebron and Durant will.

I would vote LaMarcus in but that's my bias...the guy who should win it is Durant this season in my humble opinion.

Carmelo needs motivation he works his ass off for team USA and playing unselfish ball. That leads me to believe under the right coach and for the right team Melo could be the kind of guy who leads a team to an NBA title.

most definitely. It's just the best players he's had to play with were past their primes AI, Billups, Chandler and A'mare. His game should age well, he is such a versatile scorer that he will find ways to get 20 when he's 40

He has done more for his team than anyone else in the league so far this year, so yeah.

It shouldn't be a popularity contest. That would be MPP.

Without melo the knicks have the worst record in the league. people want to hate on him for being a ball hog but he has no one besides JR to pass it to

absolutely. I would trade anyone on the team for him, including LMA. Melo is better than anyone on this team

to each their own. He is the most versatile scorer in the league. He's not as good a shooter as durant but he has a well refined post game and score from any where in whatever fashion is needed. He's one of the biggest mismatches in the league. Pair him with Stotts and he's a very strong MVP candidate and averaging over 30 a game. While LMA is in the conversation as MVP this year he isn't really in the conversation with Durant and LeBron. Melo would be if he was on a winning, championship caliber team.

Doesn't know how to play within a team oriented offense. Is a high volume shooter that can't play defense for a lick. I'll take the best PF in the game over him, any day of the week. Thank you very much.

I call B.S. Look at him on Team USA, he plays great team ball when the players around him are able. He's the best player on his team by a mile. The top 5 paid players on the team are:
Amar'e Stoudemire 21,679,893
Carmelo Anthony 21,388,954
Tyson Chandler 14,100,538
Andrea Bargnani 11,862,500
J.R. Smith 5,565,000
How is he supposed to make that team better? That is just as bad or worse than any of the teams LeBron had in Cleveland but no one wants to acknowledge that. Melo is shooting 44% from the field and 42% from 3 on .1 shots more than LaMarcus this year while averaging .2 more assists per game than LaMarcus. He's getting 8.9 rebounds a game as well, which is 2 more a game than LeBron and 1 more a game than Durant. Melo may not be the best defender in the league but he is still only averaging .1 less spg than LeBron and gets .4 bpg more than him as well (both are under 1/game.) Melos assist % is 15.4, nearly 2% better than LMA.
