<div class="quote_poster">Quoting MAKEOUTCITY:</div><div class="quote_post">ok...OK..listen. Richard Jefferson...there is nothing special about this guy. sure, he was in the 2004 olympic team...but you know what? mcgrady, vc, shaq, and all these other players didn't want to play...the only reason they put this guy in there was because they needed the players and practically became desperate.</div>

So what? He has tons of talent and can become a great player, you just don't like the Nets because VC is succeeding here.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting playmaker14:</div><div class="quote_post">um..your kidding right? AI isn't even a true PG, Marbury hasn't heard of defense and isn't the leader that Kidd is. Francis? What has he ever done that Kidd hasn't, that comparison should be thrown out the window. Mike James...LMFAO, same with Hinrich lol. You better be joking about Pilacio or else u shud be banned for that. How is Kidd ten? He and Nash are true PG's and incredible leader swho make every1 around them better and no one on that list can say that except for maybe Iverson. Best player in the world? Stop lying to yourself buddy.</div>

listen man, AI plays both PG and SG positions and if you want to argue about who is the best all-around player in the world, give me a name. give me something. let me explain it to you softly. Kidd WAS #2, but not anymore. Give me one reason why I shouldn't put Francis, Marbury, Hinrich and even Mike James in front of Kidd...what did Kidd do last season...I've never seen anyone shoot more airballs last season..I was kidding about Palacio, but I found it funny to put the guy in front of poor little Kidd.

Marbury doesn't play defense and has done nothing to help the KNicks. DO any of the guys you mentioned get triple doubles on some nights...no. Tell me one good reason for putting Francis there? Because he has hops? He isn't a leader like Kidd and doesn;t play defense. Mike James? Does he even start? Hinrich may lose his job to BG so I have no idea what you were thinking. All of the guys you put in front of Kidd have 3 things in common, they all are good on offense, and aren't the leader that Kidd is(except for Iverson good offensive. If you base your picks only by offense then they are worthless because a point guard is supposed to be a leader and make those around him better which only Iverson does of the guys you named besides Nash and Kidd.

dude, that's your expert analyzation? you couldn't find any proof or evidence to back ur shite up, so you stick ur thumb up ur anus and think that i'm bad mouthing the nets because vc was traded there? first of all, i'm a vc fan...when he's remembered, he'll be remembered as a Raptor...not for being in New Jersey...he's done nothing significant in that city....nothing at all as memorable as his history with the Raptors franchise.

Mike James a better point guard than Kidd?!?!?!? Buddy maube you haven't heard but Marbury is switching to sg. Kidd is the 2nd best point guard in the game. Im still amazed how you said Mike james is better than him!!!!

Well, RJ was having an all star caliber season before he got injured, and VC ain't done nothing in NJ because he's been there for 1/2 a year! Compared to 6 in Toronto.

Umm i wasnt talking about the Olympic team. None of Raptors even the team either but you dont see me sayin they suck because of that

By the way how many Triple Doubles has Kidd gotten. He is an all around PG. Even if you add up all the PGs you said they dont even equal the triple doubles.....and yet he only played half a season.

apparently he's the one who needs to back up his *explative removed* because you aren;t backing up your reasons for having these guys over Kidd.

omg, another dude who bases all his assumptions through stats...one stat - triple doubles...tell me who played the best in last year's nba finals series...they voted Timmy D as MVP...why? stats. who really played the best in that championship winning team...GINOBILI and HORRY. you say those PG's don't play defense and one-sided players? who led the league in steals percentage...half of those names are in top 10...where is Jason Kidd exactly? not even among the top 50? is that wut you call a good defender?

he only played 1/2 the season!!! Is being a leader a stat? Is making every1 better on your team a stat? NO! OK steals, but what about rebounds huh? Where are they? What do the spurs have to do with this debate??? Timmy D makes every1 around him better and is a true leader and an MVP is a leader who is the reason his team is so great which is what TD is.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting MAKEOUTCITY:</div><div class="quote_post">listen man, i don't mean to burst ur bubble...but you need to quit looking at this like ur in space jam or something. RJ came back last year and had the chance to play with Carter...wut did he do? all i saw was Carter in the score sheets. Kidd is not the second best point guard in the game...let me repeat this...JA...SON...KIDD...NOT THE 2ND BEST POINTGUARD IN THE GAME.

#1 --> Nash
#2 --> Billups
#3 --> Iverson
#4 --> Marbury
#5 --> Francis
#6 --> Bibby
#7 --> Mike James
#8 --> Hinrich
#9 --> Milt Palacio

#10 --> Kidd (and I'm being kind here...)

Dude, as Iverson gets older...he gets better. Do not compare Kidd to Iverson. Iverson is probably the best player in the world right now...all-round player-wise. as for the nets, i'll say it again...and again, as much as i can...because it's true. OVERRATED...there's no way they're reaching the eastern conference finals ever again. that chemistry is long gone.</div>

Your list is messed up as it is already....But you didn't even include Tony Parker or Baron Davis.....

New Jersey's a state

Even Larry Brown wanted Marbury to play like Kidd. Than again Brown must be an idiot and should ask Marbury to play like Francis or (Mike) James but it doesnt matter becuase he isnt a PG but a SG.

i mean yea this makes a lot of sence i mean he only avereged 22 points 7 boards and 4 assits i mean thats herendence i mean milt palacio can do that

Oh come on if Milt can do it then so can i.

If you were to ask any number of NBa players and askthem where Jason Kidd ranks among pg's they'd say either 1 or 2.

i mean that list makes a lot of sence, i mean people like mike james,milt palacio,hinrich,bibby,marbury,and francis(mostly milt and james) i mean there all way better than kidd. i mean they can get a triple double in there sleep. they all averged close to 15 points 10 assits and 7 rebounds a game. i mean milt palacio. i mean milt palacto avereges 5 points 3assits and 2 boards for his career. for a pg i think u shuld be able to averge more than 5 assits per game something that james and palacio have never done.

i was being sarcastic

There is no point of discussin it anymore. MAKEOUTCITY your wrong and you should feel stupid for some of the things you said. I havent read one person who has agreed with you so stop.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting thedude9990:</div><div class="quote_post">i was being sarcastic</div>

I know. I was kidding around too.

makeoutcity, you tell me to back up my stuff so why don;t you back up yours, because you really haven't given us any reason to even consider these guys better than Kidd.

Before I say anything everyone in this thread needs to cool it down with the personal insults. Or pretty soon they might get a pm from Hunter, Shape, or Mel saying you have been banned/suspended from Justbball.

I see a point guard as a player who?s job it is to distribute the ball to his teammates, and make sure the offense runs smoothly, and in the right direction. So as a ?point guard? Jason Kidd is as good as they come in the NBA. Him and Nash have to be the best players who fit that description of a player running an offense while at the same time distributing the ball to his teammates. MAKEOUTCITY true some of those players you listed average better statistics then Jason does, but none of them are at Jason?s level as a ?point? guard except perhaps Marbury (not that big a stretch). One thing people have to remember is that Jason was coming off a injury when he was playing all last season so he had that lingering all season. I do not think he ?lost a step? not quite yet, but rather that he was not fully recovered when he was playing which was the reason he did not play at the level he has the past few seasons.

i mean guys i mean hes sord of rite i mean the nets offer palacio a 1.5 million dollar contract to start over and have kidd who has a 15 million dollar contract i belive,be the backup
