Vince at 19. Look familiar?

Don't see the Kobe comparisons besides the athleticism. I think PG is still the most accurate comp at the moment.

Any change to the names we were throwing around last yr?

I think he has far more playmaking potential than I originally assumed. And he has legit two way potential that he will realize sooner tha later.

We were thinking Paul George, Jaylen Brown, etc. Think that's on the right track. I also said Kobe last yr but Shaedon needs a maniacal work ethic to get close to that ceiling. His mixture of power dunks in traffic and solid three pt shot evokes Vince Carter thoughts as well.

It's wild that it seems like he can actually hit these ceilings we're projecting for him.

Sonics' Ray Allen.

Funny how all of you are assuming that he's not going to grow anymore.

That's why I'm going with Kevin Garnett.

(Mike Barrett told me to post this.)
If he’s still growing, let’s project to another John Nash success story.. someday Shaedon might be able to dunk like that too.

Zach LaVine is an excellent comp.

You guys throwing Kobe's name out there are guzzling some serious Ayahuasca.
Not a single similarity except the athleticism/smooth jumper.

Missing everything that made Kobe great.

Kobe is famous for his work ethic. I’m assuming that what you mean by what Sharpe is missing and his competitiveness as well. I think it’s funny to assume that Sharpe doesn’t have these. He literally talked about how he studied gobert and figured out how to attacked him. And oh boy he did. Nearly put gobert on a poster too. Everything I have heard is that Sharpe is a hard worker. Maybe not on Kobe level but that’s fine. He still can be a dame level type worker which is why it’s awesome to have lillard as his mentor. I view Sharpe as a silent Kobe. He might not trash talk but he sure is looking to murder you. Prime example of this is him waving off eubanks and going right at KAT. He’s growing fast, and the sky seem to be the limit

I think his floor is Zach LaVine and his ceiling is different from any player we've seen before. I want to say TMac but he is understanding the game much much quicker which should mean a higher ceiling.

He APPEARS to be missing the swagger, competitiveness, drive, etc. Not saying it's not there in some form, but you like to see these things far more evident and obvious, basically right away.
Guys like Mathurin or Ant Edwards - that's what I want to see out of a potential star.

Basketball-wise, doesn't quite have the passing/court vision, handles or on-ball defense that Kobe had as a 19 year old.

Most importantly, I want to see Sharpe elevate his defensive game. Being elite on both ends is what makes a superstar that can carry a team deep into the playoffs, and makes such a huge +/- positive difference.

He’s a quiet guy but I’m not sure if I agree that he doesn’t have swagger or competitiveness or drive. He’s quiet like Kawhi. I’m not sure how that projects for his future. The truly great players tended to be more extroverted like Jordan or Kobe or LeBron. Kareem was pretty quiet though, right? Duncan was quiet.
