Why would people have anything against Shawn Kemp?
And they complain about being in a small market. He was doing so much cocaine while a Blazer that his teammates thought he was going to die.

Unfortunately smack too. There is a reason Cobain loved playing PDX.Being an international port Portland has always had great cocaine.

Courtney Love is the perfect Portland product. I remember when she came here to play with that Hole of a band she has. Fans threw shotgun shells on stage. Gotta love Stump Town!
A Don Imus joke book title: "How To Put On Weight While Doing Massive Amounts Of Cocaine" by Shawn Kemp...He was doing so much cocaine while a Blazer that his teammates thought he was going to die.
That's okay. I was so high for a couple of years I was grooving to 311.I actually liked Hole back in the day, lol.

God was that a crappy band live. At least the first incarnation. Best band to ever come out of Portland was Poison Idea. They absolutely ruled this town before grunge. Their albums were like gasoline mixed with cat piss and they came to town looking for beer and junk food. Pig Champion was a 400 pound love muscle. Now THAT was a band!
LOVED Heatmiser. Floater ' s lead singer's voice grated on me. Great band live.Heatmiser

Funny how Portland is this hipster band capital of the world now. I remember after the whole grunge movement died off how many musicians I knew complaining about the lack of venues and quality musicians. Portland likes to sell itself as this Uber hip arts haven filled with Left Bank anarchist types. It's more Tom McCall Society than it is that, if anything.Hazel had their moments.
Big Daddy rocked! The first time I saw nirvana they were opening for my favorite Portland band, Completely Grocery, and the Portland underground. Nirvana didn't have an album yet, and we left cause they were so fucked up they were falling down and tripping over the drums, and sounded like shit. Came back when Grocety was on.
Also loved Hitting Birth, drunk at Abi's, Big Daddy Meat Straw and the Darmha Bums
