Sheldon and Danforth say 72-73% chance Dwight Howard signs here

After the trade deadline, teams can trade again once they are eliminated from the playoffs or the playoffs end. They can't trade players who are on ending contracts or who have early termination options. Once July hits, the new salary cap goes into effect and free agent signings and trades can happen again starting July 7, when the moratorium ends.
The moratorium starts July 1, I believe.

I don't mind a Dwight Howard thread by any means. I'm one of the few that thinks he would help us big time...... But for gods sake, don't put two people who I haven't even heard claiming something they have no idea about as the source. You're better than that FAMS!

Thanks!

I don't want Dwight to sign here because we will be needing that money to sign Durant as our third scorer. After Durant has signed, sure go get Howard if he is still interested coming to Portland

Waste of time even talking to durant.

I have heard Dwight say in the past, that he prefers playing with a stretch 4. Yes Love can spread the floor, but I don't think that is his best role. I would just as well start Aminu or Leonard at the 4 (Depending on the opposition's PF) and hopefully Vonleh down the road.

I don't think Love is a good fit with Howard.

Then keep Leonard if that's what Dwight likes. Dwight could teach Meyer's how to play defense too.

WIN/WIN

I think now more than ever, we have a legitimate shot at getting Durant to come here. With Dame and CJ's rising stars in the league, exceeding expectations by a large amount last season and the respect Stotts and Olshey has earned across the league.

I am confident that he will sign to be Blazer if we can get him in a room with Dame, CJ, Stotts, Olshey and Paul Allen talking to him about being a contender instantly and what a perfect fit he would be on the team.

How could he say no?

Pretty easily. He could sign with the warriors instead if thats what he wanted. Someone would gladly take iggy off their hands

72 or 73 percent? Hmm. I had heard it's closer to 71.625%.

It's so sad when sportscasters have to troll to get ratings.

Crack is whack.

Even at his less than stellar self, he absolutely would be. Sad to think that, but it's true. It may also open the door in the future for additional signings of big name guys
MM, what would you think about a change of scenery for him? It seems like his last two situations (LAL and HOU) were areas where the chemistry sucked, where it was about the individual rather than the team. You live in Houston. What's your take about the Rockets's lockerroom?

He could be option 2, or even option 1 in some circumstances against various opponents. My question is how will Terry change the offense to suit him? He's not a threat from the perimeter and Dame isnt' great at throwing lobs.
I think both Dame and CJ are good enough at three-pointers that they could both develop the skill to throw the ball close to the hoop from long range.

My biggest fear if we signed him is he would quit on this team after the third time in practice Dame shot a three pointer yelling "Point nine on the clock!"

Lobs aren't entirely about accuracy. They're about timing and chemistry. There's a reason why someone like Andre Miller or Chris Paul are SO good at them, and yet Miller was a horrible shooter.

Is Ian Begley the guy that says every single free agent is interested in the Knicks?
That's because every single free agent is interested in the Knicks. It's New York, and in the NBA that's a draw.

And I have confidence that Dame and CJ are both smart and skilled enough to develop both. Have we had a player in their time here who can benefit from lobs like CP3 has with Jordan and Griffin?

My point is, to get good at a skill like lobs, you need a partner. That wasn't LA's game, although he certainly had the skill and the length to benefit from it.

Not sure? He's a hell of a great guy off the floor though.

Yes. LaMarcus Aldridge had a TON of lobs when he played with Miller, but very very few with Dame/CJ.

Crack is whack.

I live in a free country and can think and believe whatever I want. If I think Kevin Durant is going to be a Blazer this season I can.

No drugs involved.

Isn't America great?
