Sheridan: Kidd Likely Starter in Beijing

I think this was sort of assumed. Even if Kidd wasn't the best point guard on the roster (which he is), he's at a point in his career where he'd probably get the starting nod just out of respect. The real question is who gets the bulk of the playing time.

Are any Nets fans worried about Kidd over exerting himself? If you look at last year's participants, a lot of them never recovered after playing for Team USA, and these players were much younger than J Kidd.

Elton Brand, Dwayne Wade, LeBron James, they all complained about fatigue last year because they didn't rest over the summer.

That is my main concern right now. If it were up to me, I wouldn't let him play there at all. He is gonna be way to tired this upcoming season especially with our fast break offense.

Right now, Kidd wants to win period. If it's with the U.S. Team, then so be it. I want to see him win. I just don't see him winning with the Nets with their situation.
