I actually went to hear Senator Warren in Oakland - damn, took me over an hour to get through the line and I was early. Place so packed I never actually saw her but sound was good.
So unlike some of those who scorn her I have listened to what she has to say and she's emerged as my #1 choice. I like that she
1. has policy proposals, not just vote for me, I'm charming (not saying she's not charming, but I like substance, right, Beto?)
2. I like most of her positions
3. Some of her positions may seem unrealistic but I do like her having big ideas, and her basic premise, the thread tying everything together, is problems are structural, not just this or that bad policy or bad individual, although god knows there are plenty of both
4. When she came out in favor of impeachment she said there is no political inconvenience exception to the Constitution and I though YES! Do what is right even if you think it's not popular.
5. Unlike many politicians she is forthright, says what she means. Some people say Trump is the same, but when Trump speaks his mind he shows himself as vulgar, vicious, rude, crude, and petty. Warren shows herself as committed, intelligent, and ethical.
Of course she is a dog person but no one is perfect. I guess I can live with a "first dog" if need be.
