A team of savy washington politicans trying to convince a 19 year old boy from a small twon to go along with their plans . . . I'm thinking it wasn't that hard.

He probably loved the attention, the treatment he got at the republican convention, being flown all over the place and treated like royalty . . . and the whisper in his ear about a possible lucrative book deal no matter how it goes down in the end (as long as he goes with things and gets an inside look at the campaign).

I wouldn't think it would be too hard to convince a young man, who the whole nation is watching, to step up to the plate and announce that you are doing the "right thing" . . .

i would have to think a book deal painting them in a negative light would be much more lucrative. he could spill all the inside stuff im sure she told him about her mother/father/etc. how she used to get beat with the bible, forced prostitution with russian diplomats, or that she likes getting pissed on.

sounds like a bestseller to me.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. It's none of our business. The less I know about Bristol Palin or any child of a politician, the better. It's not the kid's choice to put themselves front and center.

This.

I am glad the marriage off if either (or both) one of them didn't want to get married. It is hard enough raising an unexpected child at a young age, and it would have been even worse for the child to have parents forced into a marriage neither wanted.

Hopefully the young man handles his responsibility though.

You could say the same about Morgantown, WV. My point, Jethro, is that you're hardly an urban sophisticate.

You crack me up.

You try and come off on an internet message board as though your some kind of savant, who has the world figured out with all your past world endeavors. :biglaugh:

I'm confused how living in the third biggest city in America, a city with ~80,000 people 15 minutes away from a big city (Milwaukee) and a little over an hour away from another (Chicago), and a city with ~100,000 that is a college town is the same in living in a town that had a ~5,400 population and then the capital of a state that is disconnected from the rest of America.

What the hell is even an urban sophisticate? There's a difference between not living in a major metropolitan area and shooting animals from a helicopter.

Wait..your first paragraph confused me. "How living in the 3rd largest city in the US (Chicago)"...and then you reference it being close to Milwaukee and Chicago?

Im saying that to be a jerk, I'm just wondering what city you're saying is the 3rd largest?

Or did you mean you have lived in each one of these scenarios? Lived once in the 3rd largest, Chicago...then another city with 80K that was only minutes from Milwaukee and Chicago?

Well at least you are honest. :D

Hrm, my editing skills apparently have failed me. I meant to say I'm not saying that to be a jerk.

I went from Chicago to Racine, WI, to Columbia, MO to in the future, whatever that city with Harvard in it is called. (Hopefully...maybe....umm...maybe Austin, TX for grad school instead...we'll see.....)

Not at all. However, it doesn't take a genius to know Columbia, MO isn't Manhattan. Heck, it's barely Manhattan, KS.

I wonder if dude upgraded his myspace status yet?
