The shooter and all victims identified.

"A 22-year-old man from southeast Portland parked his car outside Macy's, rushed into the Clackamas Town Center mall food court and opened fire, killing two people Tuesday, investigators said.

Jacob Roberts' AR-15 rifle jammed, deputies said, but he was able to get the gun working again. He shot and killed himself."

I tend to stay out of online debates about gun control, abortion, etc. as most people on both sides already have their minds firmly made up, but for the record, the shooter stole the gun from someone he knew. So, he was in possession of an illegally obtained firearm.

For a second I thought you might know one of the victims. The guy in West Linn's last name is Forsyth. You know some Forsythe (with an E), right?

The mall called it an "unfortunate incident."

I'd call it a "reprehensible act."

My friends are my family and I don't think that will ever change. I have done a lot for myself in the past year some good and some bad but I still press on. But I'm just looking to meet new people and see the world. Right now I work at the most badass gyro shop in town. I am one of the few people that can say I love my job and actually mean it. OLive.com is reporting that Roberts had some life plans fall through recently. He had quit his job in November, sold all of his possessions, and had a flight this past weekend to Hawaii, where he was moving. But, he missed his flight, and some are speculating this may have caused him to "snap". There's got to be more to it than this, I'd suspect.
 
It was weird checking out his facebook page........looking for clues.
