OK. Whenever their is a polic shooting it turns into all cops suck . . . so i thought I would try all military sucks. But it sounded strange typing it and didn't read very well. I'll go take a shower now.

I just read something a few days ago about law enforcement looking for a person of interest who they believed was going to try and shoot up a base, ala the previous Ft. Hood shooting by that Muslim guy.

FBI, US military in hunt for one-time recruit planning 'Fort Hood-style Jihad'

EXCLUSIVE: The FBI is searching for a recent Army recruit believed to be planning a "Fort Hood-inspired jihad against U.S. soldiers," FoxNews.com has learned.

The alert, whose legitimacy was confirmed by military and law enforcement officials, stated that a man identified as Booker had told friends of his "intention to commit jihad." Booker, who is also known as Muhammad Abdullah Hassan, was recruited by the U.S. Army in Kansas City, Mo., in February 2014 and was scheduled to report for basic training on April 7. But he was discharged last week, apparently after law enforcement authorities learned of his alleged plan.

Both the FBI and the 902d Military Intelligence Group at Fort Leavenworth are involved in the hunt.

It is from FauxNews, though, so maybe they planted the shooters so they could say their reporting on this was accurate.

If you've ever been in the military as I have, you wouldn't ask how this could happen at a base. It's happened at an Amish elementary school, a movie theater, a private compound, a mall, a gas station, high schools, intentional religious communities...etc. Madness is not tied to geography or specific demographics by any means.

i like how the news is saying it "isnt terror related" like "oh thank god, it was just some normal person who shot a bunch of people"

I was an MP in the Army and I can tell you that everybody is ALWAYS packing' on base. Don't know what would make somebody do something like this to innocent people. Very sad.

(KCEN) -- There was a shooting on Fort Hood on Wednesday afternoon.

Three people are dead along with the shooter, and 16 others were injured. All were active duty military.

Thirty-four-year-old Fort Hood soldier Ivan Lopez was identified as the shooter. General Milley said that the shooter was being treated for mental issues, but not yet diagnosed with PTSD. The shooter is married with family in the local area, and he just arrived at Fort Hood in February.

Lopez is said to have been the only gunman.

Gen Milley believes the shooting started when he opened fire in a building. He then left the building, got into his vehicle, and fired. He then got out of his vehicle again and went into another building. After entering the second building, he became face-to-face with an officer and that is when he shot himself.

After a second press conference by Scott & White, officials said there are 7 male patients and 1 female patient currently at Scott & White. Three patients are in critical condition and five are in serious condition. The three that are in critical condition are currently on ventilators, and are unable to speak. Two had to undergo surgery. Injuries ranged from mildly superficial to life-threatening. The majority only had single gunshot wounds that included injuries to the chest, abdomen, and neck.

During the time of the shooting, the shooter was said to be, at one point, in building 33026 which is the Medical Brigade Building. Also at the time of the shooting, reports of victims in the Battle Simulation Center on 65th and Warehouse.

Reports said that the shooter was driving a gray Toyota, described as a white male in an Army Combat Uniform, and carrying a .45 handgun.

What caused him to go crazy? Maybe his Army S.E.R.E. training (waterboarded, hooded for days while thrown around the room or with arms bound behind his back in a little box inhaling his defecation), which is really just practice for torturers to do it for real.
